The Big East was a good conference for a while but it never could become solid due to the way it was ran. There was never a equal balance of control over the conference as the Basketball and Football schools were split. The basketball schools wanted the show. Notre Dame was allowed to come in for all sports EXCEPT football which only fueled the existing fire. Now the Big East conference will need to look at itself as it has lost VT, Miami, BC, WVU and in 2013 Syracuse and PITT.
What conference does the Big East see now? It is a far cry from what it once was. Thank You Marianatto.
