Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - thanksjim - 12-22-2011 12:36 AM Thoughts? There doesn't seem to be as many "ducks" in his throws like Keith, but I guess it is a highlight video for a reason. He will also be enrolling in January, so that is a positive. RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - axeme - 12-22-2011 06:46 AM I like a QB who completes 100% of his passes! That will work well in our offense. I see where all recruiting sites have KSU with 19 verbals going into this weekend and I have heard they will sign 25 in this years class. Anyone know of the visitors this weekend, as this is the 1st weekend to have visitors after the silent/dead period over the holidays? The verbals thus far include the JUCO QB David Fisher who is a January enrollee, 2 HS cornerbacks (1 from TX, 1 from OH), 2 HS DEs (1 from OH, 1 from MD), 4 HS LBs (3 from OH, 1 from MI), 3 OL (3 from OH, 1 from PA), 1 HS RB (from PA), 1 safety (from OH), 1 TE (from OH), 1 WR (from FL), and an ATH (Nick Jensen Klegg from OH, hear he is a KSU football & baseball recruit), & 1 HS K/P (from OH).... With 4 WRs graduating, hopefully they recruit a few more of those in this class and load up on a few LBs, as Batton & CJ graduate next year. Looks like David Fisher's favorite target in JUCO is headed to Bowling Green this year. That will work well in our offense. Hazell/staff got a new commitment from Tajae Sharpe, WR, 6'3" 190 lbs from Piscataway, NJ. He had offers from Akron, Temple, UMASS, Delaware, James Madison, Pitt, Towson, and Villanova. That brings the total to 19, as Nick Jensen-Clagg from Pickerington is just a baseball recruit, but they had him listed as a football/baseball recruit. 6 more to go. Hopefully they had some good recruits on campus this weekend. Here's the link to espn.com's commitment list: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/2309/class/2012/sort/pos/order/true RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - GoFlashes7 - 01-15-2012 02:54 PM (01-15-2012 11:12 AM)GoFlashes7 Wrote:(01-08-2012 07:15 PM)GoFlashes7 Wrote:(12-22-2011 06:46 AM)axeme Wrote: I like a QB who completes 100% of his passes! RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - joepa66 - 01-15-2012 04:52 PM I just got done looking at the updated list of football commitments and am very excited about the direction of KSU football. This program just has a good feel to it right now and looking at the commitments and their offer sheets and seeing that Kent "out recruited" schools like Maryland, Memphis, Boston College, East Carolina, Pitt, and some MAC rivals really says a lot about Coach Hazell. Can hardly wait to see what the weekend brings. Still looking for us to make a dent in the Akron/Canton area where we've been very lax in past years! RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - joepa66 - 01-19-2012 07:52 PM Any word on how the recruiting went this weekend, or who we hosted on campus? RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - GoFlashes7 - 01-20-2012 12:23 PM I see on espn.com that Bret Niederreither, DT from Lewisberry, PA is supposed to visit Kent State this weekend, but also listed as visiting Temple & Georgia Tech, so not sure where he is actually visiting this weekend. RE: Junior College David Fisher Signs LOI with KSU - Polish Hammer - 01-21-2012 07:05 AM I thought he was going to Temple next weekend? This kid verbaled to West Virginia last summer but his position coach bolted for Arizona. Also had a serious injury he's still rehabbing. He'd be a nice steal if we could get him. Not sure, espn.com had him visiting all 3 schools this week & weekend. Would be a nice get for sure. |
