[split] Boston Globe says UCf is the first - BullsBEAST - 10-10-2011 08:28 PM

I expect if this is true for USF and UCF to be in opposite divisions.

If this is true, theres no way UL and WVU stick around for this so that wont matter. One will end up in the b12, the other will just pursue football independence until a B12 or SEC position opens up. Why would those schools want to be associated with ucf? They're better off just letting the BE die rather than devalue their school by adding a bunch of garbage to their league.

This does nothing but make our programs less attractive to the B12, ACC, SEC etc.

For years espn etc have been saying BE should be a mid major, and it looks like marinatto is on a mission to prove them right

Keep trying to convince yourselves that central florida has separated themselves from the pack of mediocre schools. This addition just confirms that the BE's goal is to be the best non AQ conference.

You are acting just like all of those naysayers when USF was admitted to Big East. What had we done at that time?

Relax take a break, the Big East will always have to prove themselves and is always going to be looked at as the weakest of the BCS. UCF while not a slam dunk is not a bad addition.

What are they 4-32 against bcs teams? None of which had a winning record? Erector set stadium that feels like it could collapse at any moment? In a market where the BE game of the week is already aired? On their 2nd wave of ncaa violations in the past 4 or 5 years? What exactly do they bring to the table? At least SMU, Houston, ECU, marshall & temple have some form of history...

USF had done more in 2 years as an independent than central florida has in their entire existance. USF was a desperation move at the time for the BE, i wont argue that, we were lucky to be in the right place at the right time, but that doesnt justify this addition.

Hopefully this isnt true, if it is, i really hope judy/wollard have some lines in with the b12, we have to escape this train wreck.

Only marinatto can take a bad situation and make it worse

2nd Largest University in the US
Top 25 ranking last year
Bowl win over the SEC
Won C-USA East 3 times, 2 Conference Titles
2-0 in the last two games vs the BCS.
On Campus stadium with solid attendance
Top 20 media market and rival for USF

That's a lot more advantages than USF had at the time when they were added. I think USF, UL, and UC were great additions to the BE and I think the C-USA teams being considered would all be good additions. UCF, ECU, SMU, HOuston would all do well with the AQ tag.

Does the university of phoenix have a football team? Sign em up, they have a lot of students! 01-wingedeagle

Add those schools and there wont be an AQ tag to test your theory on.

My biggest fear was USF having to go back to c-usa, and it looks like instead we're just bringing c-usa to us. Aweful.
