ETSU/Belmont - bruinator06 - 02-14-2011 11:52 AM
Biggest game of the regular season this week. I think it has been recognized by the administration as well given that they have put Homecoming on this week. If there are any current Belmontians on this board I'd be interested to hear what the attendance is like at the pep rally this morning and on Thursday. We need all the hipsters to put on some normal-human clothes and come out for this one - even if it is just to chime in on an occasional "Let's go Belmont."
I expect a letter of resignation from both Dave Mullins and Murray Bartow after this one.

We have played better the last 2 games than maybe all year. (3 games ago we lost to Stetson
). I expect a good game but I don't think ETSU wins. Belmont wins by around 8 or 9 in the end. I think we have something for ya'll at the tourney, but not at the Curb.

Not that I know of. I would make it down but I have to work. And last years game down there was painful.

I have to agree with our board's moderator that ETSU has been playing exceptionally the past three games. The first half I saw against Jacksonville was the most complete half of basketball ETSU have played all season. In many games however ETSU doesn't bring the same intensity in the second half, which I think has a lot to do with the fact that many of the players on ETSU are playing 30-38 minutes a game and tired legs and all that. There have been many stretches when ETSU just fails to score inexplicably. I'm nervous as hell about this one, but it should be a great game.

24 hours to what is probably the biggest regular season game of the season for both of these teams... I liked Coach Byrd's interview on the radio today, and hope he's on tommorrow during the day with 3HL and the morning guys.

This will be a great college basketball game. I, begrudingly (after all, we're 4-11 against you guys), have grown to respect your program.
This will likely be the 2nd game of a 3-game series this season.

I agree, I think it'll come up again in the tourney. I'm definitely more excited about this game than any of the previous. So big for both teams. Hopefully this will start a new tradition of another big A-Sun rivalry... best two teams in the conference.

Thanks. That was one intense game. Your guys just don't quit, even though you can tell they are tired. I would hate to give up Mike at the end of the season.

It says attendance was only 1901? I watched on ASUN.tv, it looked and sounded much bigger than that. Do you think that's a correct number?

When i saw them play i was really impressed by there fundamentals also.
