If you want to see the irresistible force and the immovable object going head-to-head, be sure to be at the Jack on December 11 when Ole Miss comes to town. They bring Demarco Cox (6-8, 295#) from Yazoo City, MS, who could be matched with our own Derrick Bails from Ripley, MS (6-9, 265#). Ought to be a good show.

Yeah, that'll be fun. Raining 3's and tomahawk dunks. Can't wait.

Lord, we played MS ST pretty close in LR a few years ago. Shield's will have our kids coached up.

That's reassuring.

I hope he does a better job coaching them up than he did last year.

He has coached them up before, but last year wasn't one of them.

Did he forget how to coach 'em up?

That is a good question. I am sure coaches can lose their focus for a while, just like athletes. I doubt he forgot how, but he just didn't do it.

I don't beleive coaches forget how to coach. Either they never knew how to coach or there is a problem. Usually it is a lack of recruiting good players, or perhaps locker room problems. I think most of ours is inability to recruit players who can compete with the Western Kentucky's, South Alabama's, and others in our league. One other in my mind is the style of offense we play. Shields can coach defense when he has the players. The question is, can he coach offense? He hasn't shown that ability yet.
