Keep Shuan Stegall's family in your prayers - KennesawBasketball - 08-28-2010 03:13 PM
Shuan was murdered early this morning. The story I have heard is that a robber broke into his father's house, and Shuan stood up to the robber. The robber shot Shuan, and he died hours later. Please pray for his family and friends. I knew Shuan well, and it is an odd feeling knowing that a former friend who isn't even 30 years old yet is no longer with us.

This is quite alarming. Shaun was a great guy who cared about people. I am very sorry to see him leave this way.

I learned about it Sunday through Facebook and certainly don't know the full story but what I do know is that he was a great basketball player for KSU. This is sad. I loved watching him play.

Its been reported repeatly that police had said Shaun was trying to break up the fight. He was trying to be the peackeepper in the situation

According to everyone I have talked to Shuan was not involved in any sort of drug related activities. I have heard two versions of the incident, and both involve Shuan defending people he loved and nothing more. Whether there were other people involved that had some sort of drug history is debatable but it shouldn't rub off on Shuan. He died a courageous death, and it is a shame that we lost him at the young age of 25.
