They said on the radio that Butler's enrollment is about 4500.

If you check through the stats, there are many fine basketball schools with a similar enrollment. I'm pretty sure Tulsa falls into the same category. And probably a lot of schools in other parts of the country with whom we're familiar through their basketball programs. Also, Butler costs around $26,000 a year to attend, although they have a lot fo scholarship money that helps their students.04-cheers

Yes, that is similar emrollment to Tulsa. TU is not quite that expensive, but it's been a while since I last checked.

But not many Final Four teams.

No, but any school with 4,000 students who can even make the NCAA tournament, much less win some games, is a successful program. We have around 12,000 students, and I wouldn't expect us to compete with the Dukes and that type of program, but I would expect us to compete with the Butlers and Tulsas.04-cheers

Duke has 6,400 undergrad students and 7,300 graduate students.

They're rich as all get out. But you have to be extremely smart to get in and stay in school. They can find thireen bright kids out of thousands who can also play basketball, but it's harder to find enough good ones to field a football team of 85 smart kids, no matter how much money you have. That's why their football program can never match their basketball program.04-cheers
