We lived in South Memphis. I visited the Rosewood, hundreds of times. That is a funny pic you have there. When I think of the Rosewood. I remember seeing a lot of Vincent Price movies there. I'm pretty sure that I saw those two. I do remember seeing the Pit and the Pendulum there. Starring Vincent Price. Seems like it was a lot of horror movies. I always thought it was a neat place.

like KRB said, great times there at that park. As a teenager, I had a job one summer working on a clean up crew at Blues Stadium. The smell of leftover warm beer and shredded peanuts on muggy summer days was not worth whatever pittance they paid me. But it was a cool job just being in the stadium and on the field. Awesome capture of the Grizzlies WFL orange seats. It really makes you realize how small the LB was before they expanded the visitors' side.

I loved McCarver Stadium. Is Yosemite Sams still open? I know there is at least 1 Gridleys left in Bartlett at the corner of 70 and 64.

Shelby County Building. When I was a kid my Dad would take vacation from the Post Office and he would manage the building during the Mid-South Fair.

I am quite familiar with that building. Always loved it. Spent many Memphis in May events there, back when it was the Rivermont. Best views of the River Imo.

Is that the shovel from 'The Big Dig' (Pyramid groundbreaking in 1989) on the front? Remember they dropped it from a helicopter as part of a show. Looks like they put it back together.

I remember seeing the big dig on video that my dad recorded. Wasn't the shovel dropped to the tune of Shaft? That (and the old Shelby County building) were staples of my childhood.
