2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - Grammar-Nazi - 01-01-2010 02:30 PM

The rules:
Each entrant selects 10 celebrities. If a celebrity on an entrant's list dies between 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1, 2010 and 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31, 2010, that entrant receives (100-celebrity's age) in points. If a celebrity is 100 years old on the date of death, the entrant receives 0 points.

What's at stake? Winner receives a bottle of hot sauce of their choice from my collection, which as of today, has more than 200 unopened bottles in it (there's another 40 or so open in the fridge). Or, as an alternative, a jar of my homemade, homegrown pickled peppers.

Only 11 morbid entries. I'm surprised there wasn't more.

Ernest Borgnine is still alive? Who knew...

I think a large majority of BlazerTalk members don't check the Bar & Grill.

So who had John Wilder, Lieutenant governor of Tennessee

I should have loaded up on wrestling stars.

Those jokers drop dead at an unbelievably low age.

There will probably be at least a half dozen in 2010.

RE: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - Copperblazer - 01-02-2010 10:34 AM

Yup, I didn't think about wrestlers. But with their excesses who can tell when they will blow up?

It's the same with pop-tarts, it's dificult to guage when lindsey or brittney will implode, and that American idol singer Adam Lambert may flame out at any moment. Oh wait, I meant the other way.

Anybody else think that 58-56 accidentally mixed up his death pool list with his hit list?

RE: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - Marathon Blazer - 01-02-2010 11:05 AM

I expect to take the early lead in this pool:

Any of you with Pat Sumerall will have to cool your jets. Surprisingly, he's still alive, and calling the Cotton Bowl.

"Anybody else think that 58-56 accidentally mixed up his death pool list with his hit list?"

When you have Belief, they are one and the same.

Yeah, but just look at him. Seriously, who's manipulating his strings?

Looks like her condition was exaggerated.

I know, and at 60-70 points a pop with the scoring system we have. Unfortunately, the only one I could think of was John Cena.

On a related topic, JoBeth Williams career is still dead.

When I saw the initial poll I figured it would be a buy in and never checked it again. I'll hit it up the net go round.

Obama is actually a pretty good choice. The only two senators to have ever served as president have died in office. One from assassination and one being rumored to have been an assassination. Just watch out for the secret service.

RE: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - blazr - 01-04-2010 02:29 PM

I wasn't aware of how a Death Pool works as far as points so I'll make some more strategic decisions next year.

RE: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - ATTALLABLAZE - 01-04-2010 03:53 PM

Can I still enter? If so I will come up with a list in a couple days.

Wow, no Tiger Woods or Olsen Twins?

RE: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool official entry thread - Grammar-Nazi - 01-04-2010 05:29 PM

Well, it's still early enough in the year. Unless someone objects, I'll let the board moderator enter. Post the list ASAP. You can't pick anyone alleged to be on life support, however.
