#4 ole miss in trouble - 50Cent - 09-24-2009 09:08 PM

losing 16-3 late in 3rd to south carolina. how far would they drop losing to unranked usc? uc should move ahead of loser of va tech/miami....passing ole miss would be bonus.

Good, we want all top ten teams to lose.

RE: #4 ole miss in trouble - oleskl - 09-24-2009 09:13 PM

Ole Miss has been overrated since the first polls came out. No way they're a Top 5 team, the media just needs to fill their SEC quota in the rankings.

You got that right O.......I have a good friend who is a big Bama fan and I was telling him how overrated Ole Miss was...how are they Top 5 with wins over Memphis and I think like, SE Louisiana or something like that?!?!?!?!?!? SEC bias.....they can suck it

Jevan Sneed looked like Colin Carey tonight. They hype on him was a litlle, well, over-hyped.

what upsets me most.. is all they will say.. the SEC is soooooo deep.. not that Ole Miss is overrated.. the SEC is deep.. but to say that.. then if uc wvu or pitt were to lose to uconn or usf its how the bigeast is soo bad..

on one hand i wanted them to lose.. but on the other.. i didn't.. the SEC has 2 elite level(top 10) teams.. bama and UF.. then 4 top 15-30 caliber teams in UGA, Ole Miss, LSU, and Auburn.. thats deep.. but not near as good as sooo many people act..

also on ESPN radio.. with 10 min to go they said.. snead has shown a good arm.. good decision making.. and great leadership.. does anyone know what game they were watching?!

Yeah, and notice after the game the announcers were like "So how good is this Carolina team?" And suddenly they were "oh definitely top 15!" Now that's SEC respect (bias)!

Just like the Big 12 bias, where Ok St. is still ranked 7 spots ahead of Houston. The Cougars handily beat the Cowboys in Stillwater - makes no sense at all.

There are always multiple SEC QBs that are overated. Both QB made a bunch of terrible throws.

26 total points, 2 turnovers, 7 penalties between both teams. What a game!

Good to see ESPN/ABC got their money's worth on that monster SEC TV contract 03-lmfao

If ever a team was over ranked at the beginning of a season it was Mississippi, and they proved it last night.

RE: #4 ole miss in trouble - wanes - 09-25-2009 08:37 AM

Typical SEC bias. Hopefully they drop to 8-10 spots. And hopefully that doesn't allow USC to crack to top 25, because they are not a top 25 team.

BTW: has anyone ever seen a more dreadful Steve Spurrier offense? Not only was it bad. It was boring. So much for the ol' ball coach being a guru. Maybe he should break out the visors again.

It really proves the adage that "It's all about the Jimmie's and the Joe's."
