Just wanted to give a forum where all the trash talking, Top 25 dreaming, Florida-beating Trojan fans can come and apologize to the rest of us for one of the more embarassing non-conference losses in recent years.

10-2 is still attainable.
Bowling Green has a brand new staff, so our coaches had no way to prepare. Ever taken a test when you didn't have the book and didn't go to class? Christmas tree time!

10-2 is attainable still. The team may rebound, or they may not. They could pull an FAU and have a dissapointing beginning of the season. But remember last year, Troy lost that emotional game to LSU and rebounded to wind up demolishing UL and ASU.

Apologize? For losing to a team that is better than most everyone (including us) thought?
Dave Clawson is a quality coach who is highly regarded wherever he has been. He had 'em ready. Bowling Green should be in the race in the MAC based on what I saw, except perhaps a need to step up in the run game.
But let me get this straight ... we should apologize to the SBC fans for losing? Or maybe just to 'Boro? Darn, you figured it out ... we lost just to piss you off. Excuse us for breathing all of your air.
We got our butts whipped. End of story. Saturday we go to Gainesville and play as hard as hell and try to get a win - like we did Thursday and like we will do every game day to come.
As for swapping places with UNT ... let's find out in a few weeks in Troy.
We embarrassed ourselves. But no one can say the entire Sun Belt has slipped because we lost a game out of conference - we have been doing that for two years. And anyone who thinks Troy will not be conference champs because we lost to BG should line up and prepare to prove it on the field.
"Anywhere, anytime" is our motto. It does not guarantee a win, but it does guarantee a hell of a fight.
I enjoy this board. I hope I was civil.

Don't be fooled. FAU and ASU have been talking JUST AS MUCH SMACK as Troy has. I can't get on here without hearing something about Rusty + Harmon = sunbelt destruction or how arkansas state's gonna beat Troy and win the conference.
We don't owe anyone on here a dang thing. As far making the conference look bad, MTSU and FAU need to take responsibility for their losses too. Just because Troy is top dog over the last few years doesn't mean you didn't leave a black mark this weekend.

Where's the apologies for all the MTSU 24 - Kitties 21 talk? At least six people on blueraiderzone actually thought they'd win the game (30-7 at one point). It's funny how when a team gets a TON of points dropped on them, they always blame the offensive coordinator. Seems like bad defense to me.

FAU and MTSu were SUPPOSED to lose. Bodybag came for both and any kind of a win would of been gravy. Plus both were AQ schools.
TROY was favored and supposed to win against a MAC team.
MTSU and FAU stench is there dont get me wrong, but it was sort of expected. Troy''s stench however is so vomitous because you were supposed to WIN.

Troy fans were the ones bringing up things like "busting the BCS" and beating Florida. Neither MT or FAU have been making claims like that. We also didnt lose to a MAC team this weekend. We lost to two pretty good BCS schools.

In my mind, getting beat 49-3 by Nebraska is the same as getting beat by Bowling Green 31-14. Bowling Green hasn't lost an opener under a new coach. They're 9-0 in new coach openers. They have the best over the years record out of anyone in the mac. They're a solid team.
BCS Busting? I seriously doubt anyone was serious about that. There was never a chance Troy could bust the BCS. If you thought most of us actually believed that, you were misinformed or simply took things way too seriously. I also serious don't think anyone honestly believed we'd beat Florida. Maybe one or two; not nearly the six or more that thought you'd beat Clemson.
You guys just want to think we're all cocky, we're not. You see the repeated offenses of a few of us and believe its more.

I'm sorry Troy has MUCH higher expectations than anyone else in the Sun Belt because we've been DOMINANT in recent years in Sun Belt play, FAR more talented than any other Sun Belt team, and plain and simple, the ONLY reason Sun Belt football gets any publicity outside of the conference. You don't see Brent Musberger calling for FAU to upset Nebraska or MT to upset Clemson, do you?
I'm sorry we let one game slip by that will have absolutely NO bearing on our conference performance or anything else for that matter. The only thing it does guarantee is that we won't have an undefeated season. An undefeated Sun Belt run is very much still in tact. If I were you I would be WORRIED because we got a wake up call EARLY; therefore, we will be far more focused and prepared once we start playing you guys.
I'm sorry, in advance, for the whoopin' you all will receive when you set foot on the field with a Sun Belt team more talented, focused and prepared than any other you have faced. Ever.

Don't worry. I dont think anybody is worried about Troy this season especially after you lost to a crappy MAC team. I think more teams are worried about North Texas than you guys. Unless your team gives them a reason to think otherwise.
