We do have unbelievable recruits ETSUfan...they were just forced to redshirt due to injury or transfer. I won't go as far as some of the other posters here in saying they are all-conference (because that is impossible to predict), but I would say Cummings and Green (both redshirting) would be 2 of the top 5 freshman in the league, and that Heramb (transfer from Auburn) has the talent to be a very good player in this league. Considering we don't lose any pieces this year (unless we have transfers - in which case I don't see anyone leaving that gets playing time) we should be more than competitive next year.

We are having a rough year, I personally predicted this if we couldn't get Mitchell and Cummings back to full speed. Not sure if Mitchell will ever come back to full speed based on the extent of his injury, but Cummings will be here full force next year ready to play some serious minutes. We don't have anyone signed for next year, but hopefully we will add a top level recruit (hopefully a big time GF), and if we do that is just an added bonus. Who knows, the future is impossible to predict, but I wouldn't say that predicting that we will be 6th or better next year is not too crazy.

OBVIOUSLY we are struggling mightily this year, which in my opinion is due to 2 huge factors
1) Young guards being relied upon to carry this team (next year they won't be quite so young, and will be much improved)
2) Post rotation is too thin, and cannot be relied upon to score and get fouled in the post (next year we import Cummings, Green, and Heramb from our redshirt list)

There is reason for Kennesaw fans to be excited, but there is also reason to be cautious. I suggest both :)

Look at JU. What was it...2 years ago they were like 1-25? It can be done but its rare for a quick turnaround.

I love to follow recruiting. Sometimes I follow it more than the actual games. You have to remember that everyone out their is recruiting and they are all signing kids that have incredible stats and most of the time are the best player on their team. Some of our best players have been players that do not necessarily have the best stats, but have been hard working/character type guys. Sure your recruits look good, but so do ours, Belmont, Lipscomb, Jacksonville, etc..

That's one sweet mug ETSUAlumni... I like it.

Probation or not, Kennesaw would not be going to the Atlantic Sun tournament this year. So probation is not the only thing holding you back. The fact remains that the initial Kennesaw D1 team led by Wooten is better than the current squad. I like Kennesaw as a program, nice campus and facilities (new & clean). They seem to have a decent vision of improvement. The only part I don't think fits is Coach Ingle. I'm not sold on him. DII National Title or not. I watched him during the Stetson game on CSS. Coach Waugh was fired up when he was losing, and coached his way to a blowout. Ingle just kind of sat there and watched.

Everything we've done after the golden ingle-ronnell wooten era has been gearing up for after probationary period. Without those two players, we don't have the success we've had.

We haven't been able to recruit as well as we have shown with this upcoming recruiting class. It starts there.

I'm looking foward to next year. That's when Tony can show the conference what he can do with a talented recruiting class. There will be your answer and I'm sure it's going to shock some of you.

Good post Nick. Most people don't understand what the grace period does to a program. You might luck out and get a few recruits that will carry you, but it is hard to tell a kid to come to a school that doesn't have a chance at the tournament. Ingle has been gearing for the first couple years of full eligibility. I am not sure if it will be next year, but people will start to see a much different team in Kennesaw.

That being said, it looks like we are giving up on this year, and I want to be the first to say that I am not. 4 home games in a row can bring us back into the pack of the conference. Time for our young players to step up and take a few wins from some teams. Campbell is very beatable on the road. I hope we come out firing on cylinders.

We'll get respect when we earn it. We've done nothing worth mentioning thus far in this conference so the other teams have little reason to give us any respect. Our team is struggling but don't write the season off yet. As a fan base we can keep our heads up and fight through, hopefully our team does the same. Things are never as good as they look or as bad as they seem.
