Beer - Swearingen20 - 08-04-2008 05:25 PM

Can anyone tell me where the best(price) place to get a keg of beer in Cordova is??? I need one for Labor Day weekend. Bud Light or Coors Light is what we are looking for!!! Also, do you know what the deposit on it might be as well??? Thanks in advance for your help.

I usually buy directly from the wholesaler. Coors Light is DBI (they also have keystone light for like $40.) Bud Light would be from D Canale. You can go there and pick it up, but neither are open on the weekends.

Thanks for the help. I think I will try and call Schnuck's and D Canale.

Should be about $60 for the keg and a $40 deposit for the tap.

Had a ton of experience here.......Save yourself the trouble of driving to DBI or D.Canale. Schnucks is the way to go. If you do go to D.Canale, bear in mind that they have screwy dock hours, and they only take cash. But----if you have time, drive around campus and "scrounge" for loose kegs. DBI or D. Canale will give $25 a pop for them. Some might call this stealing, I say that if it's within 7ft. of a trash can, the owner is throwing it away. If you go the Schnucks route, which will be considerably cheaper than Scooties, be sure to plan ahead and reserve one.

Thanks for the info. I called Schnucks and they said you need to order at least 1 week in advance. The price was fine for the beer we needed.

Scooties probably has more kegs than anyone else I've ever seen.

Great service and selection. Prices aren't bad.

Scooties....
