Twenty-five years ago today- the most legendary coaches/managers' rant in sports history occurred.

But the thought here is that this rant actually motivated the Cubs. They would go on to win 25 of their next 41 and got back into the race.
The Pirates would knock them out of it by sweeping a five game series at Three Rivers Stadium, but I digress.
But here's the deal. Skole is a Citadel man- he knows how to get in someone's face.
The Bucs (you know- just a Cub spelled backwards) desperately need some sort of motivation. They are getting the pitching they lacked before but unable to truly capitalize on it.
For his own job, Skole MUST duplicate Elia's rant. Right now his team has to be thinking their captain is about to be reassigned. He has GOT to take control of the team.
Of course, if he was to do so somebody around here would probably thump their bibles and say how evil Skole was and ETSU would be better off with a coach who wasn't so foul mouthed and angry.
Perhaps then Paul Hamilton could return as the baseball team's head coach.
