Talk about Oregon State football and most avid fans will be able to discuss how great Steven Jackson was or how talented, but occasionally off, Derek Anderson is. They also have the perception of Beaver football as being all about offense with players like Ken Simonton, James Newson and Chad Johnson among the recent national stars, while visions of the destruction of Notre Dame in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl are still fresh. What might be surprising to those outside of the Pacific Northwest is how OSU is all about defense.
