Broncos lose two recruits over a year before they are schedule to arrive on campus. Tyler Murovich and Josh Bemis, both of whom played for Chicago of the USHL last year, have given up their college eligibility to play for Saginaw of the OHL. Both are likely to be NHL draft picks next summer. and both give up another year in the USHL and 4 years in college to play 3 years in the OHL before they need to either sign a pro contract or find a day job.

Is there a breakdown of NHL'ers who come from Juniors v. College teams these days?

It seems more "name" players are coming from the NCAA than I ever remember.

Not sure about a breakdown, but the percentage of players in the NHL that went the college route continues to climb. In last year's NHL draft 2 of the top 3 picks were players that choose the college route.

The good news is JC has all year to replace them still.
