Why not install web cams in airplanes? This way the FAA is able to see what is happening in the plane and will be instantly aware of any trouble that would be occuring and could take the appropriate action instead of wondering what is going on after there is confirmation that there is trouble on a flight.

And to take it step further, you could install a sort of auto piolt that can only be overridden by someone on the ground. The auto piolt would send the plane to 35,000 ft. (or whatever) and just have the plane circle in the sky. This would prevent anyone from being able to use them as a weapon.

Just a couple of thoughts...

I realize that, if someone has their mind made up to hijack a plane, they will do it regardless of the security measures in place. This would just prevent them from being able to use them as a guided missle and cause further death and destruction.
