ACC vs. Big East - uconnbaseball - 07-26-2006 03:04 PM

Rutgers-UNC tossup leaning RU
USF-UNC UNC
WVU Maryland WVU
VT vs. Cincinnati VT
Pitt-UVA UVA
UConn Wake UConn
UL Miami toss-up
SU-wake Wake

I'd say 5-3, ACC wins. UNC wins both, and UL, UConn, and WVU win.

6-2 is also a possibility.

ACC Winners:
Wake over Syracuse
Va Tech over Cincinnati
UNC over South Florida
UNC over Rutgers
Virginia over Pitt

Flip a Coin:
Miami-Louisville
Wake - UCONN

Big East Winners:
West Virginia over Maryland

RU V NC - Ru wins
USF V NC - NC wins
WVU V Terps - Easy one for WVU
Pitt V UVA - Uva
Uconn V Wake - Uconn
UL V Miami - Miami
SU V Wake - Wake
VT V Cinci - VT, over by the half.

Wouldnt it be nice to see this many basketball games between the 2 conf? Instead of the ACC a-ss whipping of the Big 10.

Basically GT, we're on the same page, it appears ;-)

I'm just hoping RU can beat UNC for any hope of .500, the knights have talent but with a new QB the tar heels are probably just too much.

Careful, do not underestimate Wake. They are my pick for surprise team. I think they'll end up bowling, and beat Clemson at home. Edsall is a good coach, but he hasn't worked miracles like Jim Grobe has.

And yes, an ACC-Big East Challenge would be nice, but I doubt Trained Geese would ever let it happen. The Big 10 couldn't even beat the ACC last year, when the NBA Draft decimated the conference.

Well, that's true. And wake has 18 starters returning as well, but Connecticut itself has 16 or so.

We sucked in the middle of the year because of injuries, but started out 4-1. Wake would have the upper hand later in the year but early on with a healthy connecticut team it's a tough one to call. Naturally with UConn bias I'm picking the huskies.

Not a BigEasy homer or anything...

No, and we will see soon enough.

Your point about "seeing soon enough" is fair, but you can't deny that your opinion is biased. Nice try, though.

uconnbaseball seems to know whats up.
