WVU picked to win league - bearcatfan - 07-17-2007 08:56 AM http://www.bigeast.org/sports/m-footbl/s...07aac.html 2007 BIG EAST FOOTBALL PRESEASON MEDIA POLL Rank Team Pts. 1. West Virginia (20) 188 2. Louisville (3) 167 3. Rutgers (1) 142 4. USF 123 5. Cincinnati 86 6. Pittsburgh 80 7. Connecticut 45 8. Syracuse 32 RE: WVU picked to win league - Cubanbull - 07-17-2007 09:22 AM That was expected. Now let the real season begin. So it looks like West Virginia got 20 first place and 4 second places RE: WVU picked to win league - bitcruncher - 07-17-2007 09:51 AM I wonder who the 4 were? It should have been unanimous. RE: WVU picked to win league - OUBOBCATJOHN - 07-17-2007 12:20 PM 21-38 for Syracuse during last 5 years and media sees the program in the basement once again. We're predicted to be in the basement because we travel to UConn this year. If they were coming to the Dome, the teams would most likely switch places in the poll - not that finishing 7th is any better than finishing 8th. Besides, does a Bobcat fan have a reason to talk smack? We're in a slump, but having risen to near-elite status twice in our history, we know these things are cyclical. And at least during our 'down' times we have an actual history and great players to reminesce about. What does a Bobcat fan have? Their opinion on Syracuse being good again in the near future is "don't bet on it". I agree. Syracuse, unless they get very lucky, is destined to be the doormat this year. UConn could beat them out for the bottom, but I doubt it this year.OUBOBCATJOHN Wrote:21-38 for Syracuse during last 5 years and media sees the program in the basement once again.Oh, please. Yeah, but you also think West Virginia is going undefeated this year and will play for the NC. So what do you know?!? All unknowing infidels should now bow down... :kneelsucka: RE: WVU picked to win league - CyberBull - 07-17-2007 05:16 PM You know the BigEast is doing something right, when it's predicted 4th place team is being considered as preseason Top25 program by most polls. Not too shabby... RE: WVU picked to win league - Maize - 07-17-2007 05:50 PM bitcruncher Wrote:I wonder who the 4 were? It should have been unanimous. I will, you gotta remember we are the Champs and UofL will beat you like we did last time. In order to be the man you have to BEAT da man and right now in the Big East the man is LOUISVILLE. If my memory is correct RUTGERS beat L'Ville last year so that means we be [b]the MAN THIS YEAR RE: WVU picked to win league - CardFan636 - 07-18-2007 08:20 PM panite Wrote:Maize Wrote:bitcruncher Wrote:Maize Wrote:Say that again AFTER November 9...bitcruncher Wrote:I wonder who the 4 were? I see the South Florida game as a trap again, though. As for Rutgers, I think the game will be much closer than their last visit to The Ville, but the result should be the same. Even though the league's rep has been built on offense the last few years, this year's Louisville and South Florida defenses will have a lot to say about the championship. RE: WVU picked to win league - bitcruncher - 07-18-2007 08:22 PM It should be a fun season. I rode the people mover from downtown and talked good-natured smack with WVU fans on the way. It was an outstanding trip.
