Thou Shalt Not Say Anything Negative about Blacks - Endzone2 - 04-07-2007 11:19 AM

Does anybody happen to agree with Imus? I for one do. I think both black men and black women D1A basketball players look like street thugs. Calling the women hos was taking it one step further, but the point Imus was trying to make is the difference the way the Tennessee girls looked and the way the Rutgers girls looked. The significance of the point was lost in knee jerk reaction by the hysteric left.

I've often wondered when a D1A announcer was going to point out that these men and women do not look like college students but rather look like street thugs.

But unfortunately the hysteria and white guilt about pointing out anything negative about blacks is still alive and well. This is the one subject that even the most radical of talk show host are not allowed to talk about--That includes Stern, Imus, & Savage. I'm sure Imus stands by his remarks, but his bosses told him he either apologizes or loses his job. This is the one area of American culture where you are not allowed to voice free speech and to do so is considered a hate crime.

BTW, I just returned from the state of Mississippi. There I met the sweetest black people I have ever met in my life--in America that is. They didn't have a "you owe me white boy" attitude. They were nice. They acted like they were just part of the culture like you. They didn't expect any special treatment. They tried to help you if they could. Why can't the rest of America be like that?

Well if that's all a thoughtful and intelligent guy like you has to say, then you must agree with the title of the thread I started. Is that right?

How about some insightful answers to questions indirectly posed by Imus:

1. Why do D1A black basketball players look like street thugs?

2. Are they in fact street thugs who happen to be on college campuses?

3. Do they have a lack of good parenting and mentoring in the black community?

4. Are other thug-like pro basketball players their heros?

5. Why are the white kids different? Oh I realize a few white kids have the tats so that they can look like their black counterparts, but why is the tat phenomena a black thing?

6.Is this black tat thing an indication of the destruction of the black family in post civil rights America?

7. Why do all the black journalist and black leaders want to shut up people like Imus rather than face the issue--that is the fact that these players do look like street thugs. They do look like the Toronto Raptors as the other radio jock said. They sure don't look like your typical black (or white) college student do they?

Yes I drove east from the airport on I-20. I heard about all the crime in Jackson. But they say the NE side of Jackson (Ridgeland) and the area by the resavoir isn't too bad. But, to answer your question I did skip Jackson.

EZtoo, I'm pretty sure everyone is once again flabergasted by your weak attempts to connect what you consider character flaws, this case being body art, with racial inferiority. We are all then blown away by your generalization of the black college athlete as the "street thug" solely because of tattoos, and then equating their appearance on college athletes (being sure to remind us that although athletes of other races have tattoos, the black athletes are to be singled out for blame) to a decline of the black community in America.

Oh, the tats on the blacks are body art. Is that it? Nothing else needs to be said about it?

Mind if I ask a few questions then?

Why didn't blacks have this "body art" when they started playing D1A sports en mass in the late 60's and early 70's?

Why don't most of the whites have this "body art"?

Why don't most of the general student population on campus have this "body art"? Yet most of the black D1A football and basketball players do have this "art". Why is that?

Can you answer those questions please?

im in trying to get into this argument, i just want to understand something....are you saying that if you have tattoos, then you are a thug? thats just what im getting from your message. you would be surprised how many people 18-30 have tattoos, endzone. of course, when you are showing your entire arm, they are more noticable than if you have your arms covered as in a normal business enviroment. and yes, white people have tattoos too. i am one of them and i have white collar job, dont sell drug, dont get in fights and dont commit crimes. please correct me if im wrong.

1. No one really had tattoos in the 60s and 70s.
2. They do, they just don't get in the game very often.
3. You must not have been to a college campus lately. Most girls in college have tatoos on their ankles or lower back.

I just answered your questions, you may go back to being poor white trash.
