Jason Taylor NFL Defensive MVP - Terpy - 12-10-2006 07:28 PM

what do you think?

- Terpy - 12-10-2006 10:49 PM

To whoever voted no. Who would be your pick?

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 03:36 PM

So yeah I predicted this about a month ago and nobody agreed with me.

Haters keep hating.

whaddya mean predicted? you didn't ask who 'will' be defensive POY, you asked who 'should' be D POY. Big difference.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 03:46 PM

My question was IS Jason Taylor the NFL Defensive MVP. I voted YES. Everyone else voted NO.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 03:46 PM

There was no will or should involved in my question.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 03:47 PM

He was the best defensive player in the league then and now it has been confirmed.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 03:49 PM

I wish I knew how to lock the poll so bammas cant try to act like they voted yes before today.

i voted no, when you first put it up. my vote goes to champ. I honestly thought you implied 'should.'

Champ had a great year, but seriously Jason Taylor may have had the greatest year ever for a defensive end. 13.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, both of which were ran back for touchdowns, an absolutely unreal 10 forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

greatest year for a DE? i think strahan's much greater ability to stop the run makes his record breaking year better.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 05:30 PM

Taylor scored just as many touchdowns in one season as Strahan has in his entire 30 year career. lmfao lmfao lmfao

so? and i bet taylor's lack of ability to stop the running game cost them some pts. I don't mean to say he's completely useless against the run, but he's not anywhere near guys like strahan, reggie white and bruce smith. they were complete defensive ends.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 05:42 PM

LMAO Bruce Smith was absolutely useless against the run, especially late in his career. When he was with the redskins at the end of the career, teams ran to his side every freakin time and gained 5 yards a clip. I dont watch Strahan play enough to comment on his ability against the run, and I seriously doubt you watch Taylor play enough to make such comments. The fact that you included Bruce Smith in your last post makes me seriously doubt that you know wtf you are talking about.

BRUCE SMITH LMFAO Get a clue.

dude, smith was over the hill when he was with the skins. i bet taylor's gonna be pretty crap at that age, when he loses two steps.

- flyingswoosh - 01-05-2007 07:30 PM

everybody knows smith in his prime was better than taylor in his.

- Terpy - 01-05-2007 07:35 PM

perhaps, but that doesnt mean he was ever any good against the run

he was better than taylor.

- Terpy - 01-06-2007 12:04 PM

Better as a player? Yes

Better against the run? No

He was awful against the run, I think its funny how you know so much about a player who began his career before you were even born.

how many games did you watch him play?

plus, i don't need to watch him, it's common knowledge.
