Considering all positions, who is the best player at his position in the NFL? I think you have to go with Derrick Brooks with the lack of versatile OLB's in the NFL. Brooks can cover and tackle and constantly makes big plays.

im going to go with Ricky Williams, the running back i think is the most skilled player on the field, and since ricky is the best running back in the league, I have to go with him

Ricky Williams is not even universally accepted as the NFL's best running back, while there is no question Derrick Brooks is the NFL's best OLB.

I think Ray Lewis would have a thing to say about that, as would Brian Urlacher.

In any case my pick would be Jonathan Ogden or maybe Sam Adams.

Sam Adams as the best DT? Maybe, it's hard to pick amongst the DT's because they do a lot of things that don't show up in the stats.

Priest holmes is the best RB. he can run as well as Williams plus he can catch passes.

Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher are ILB not OLB. I'm just syaing that Brooks dominates his decision more than any other player in football.

Boy, that's a good question. It's just hard to compare players from different positions.

Dante Hall is sure making me think twice about it. He has to be the MVP so far.

- tysramm1 - 10-06-2003 01:54 PM

Daunte Hall is having an MVP type season so far, but how can a player who spends about 1/60th of the game on the field be considered the best player in the NFL

- Terpy - 10-06-2003 02:02 PM

Not many players sore a touhdown in every game either...

- cbfranchise3 - 10-06-2003 03:56 PM

Very true. Not only does he score, he changes the game. Even when he doesn't score, he still gives them the ball at the 40.

- cbfranchise3 - 10-06-2003 03:56 PM

Besides, who else is the MVP so far?

Hall gets my vote.

- Terpy - 10-07-2003 05:03 PM

Peyton Manning has been outstanding thus far. You gotta throw him out there as far as MVP candidates.

- cbfranchise3 - 10-07-2003 08:25 PM

so far its hall, but realistically he wont keep this up the entire year, Manning, S. Davis, Holmes, and even Randy Moss are candidates also

- T-Monay820 - 10-08-2003 11:03 PM

I'm voting for Stephen Davis. This guy can run the ball consistantly for the 1st Down, and catch those quick swing passes on the rush. He's an all around versatile player.

- cbfranchise3 - 10-09-2003 04:52 PM

stephen davis has had a great year, but the bucs are the only decent rushing defense he has faced, now its hall, at the end of the year it will be his teammate Priest Holmes

- tysramm1 - 10-09-2003 08:16 PM

for mvp so far this year, im going to have to go with manning, hes been unstoppable so far

- cbfranchise3 - 10-10-2003 04:31 PM

excellent matchup this weekend between davis and manning, I like the Colts, but Edgerrin will have to do something this weekend or manning will be a sitting duck
