Since Trooper, MU ATO and others love to use Republicans' words against them, I figure 2 can play at that game:

WHO SAID IT?

1) "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction (search) technology, which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

2) "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."

Who were these warmongers? Vice President Cheney? President Bush?

Neither. The first quote is from Rep. Nancy Pelosi,D-Calif., now House minority leader. The second is from President Bill Clinton. Both were spoken in 1998, when politicians from both parties were insisting that Saddam Hussein was a threat to the United States.

Damn that Pelosi and Clinton. Don't they realize that they'd be creating MORE terrorists by attacking Saddam? Don't they realize they'll leave us alone if we leave them alone?

What's next? Jimmy Carter extolling the virtues of pre-emption? Ted Kennedy demanding we hold North Korea's feet to the fire?

Oh, that's right. Jimmy Carter actually WENT to North Korea during the Clinton years, came back and told the President there was nothing to worry about. Tonight, he attacked President Bush for not recognizing North Korea and Iran as the real threats.

The real shock, however, is that our liberal posters on this board, so fond of quoting Republican leaders, didn't uncover these gems for themselves.
I guess truth has different meanings for everyone, huh?

I guess Bush/Cheney were just lucky enough that no one took action until they came along. How lucky can you get.......? Have your own war and make a few bucks on the side...life is good.

"I guess truth has different meanings for everyone, huh?"

That's for damned sure, your president demonstrates it every time he opens his mouth.

Great job not responding to the post.

And you don't really want to get into a debate about the truth, do you? It's the weakest point for any Democrat who takes the podium.
