2nd in the ACC...

ONE SPORT SCHOOL!

Private school, too. 04-bow

- Coach Doh - 05-29-2003 04:28 PM

you forgot "slowly crumbling"

doh

- techfan4 - 05-29-2003 07:44 PM

That doesn't mean you're going to win a game in the ACC

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TELL YOU AND GET NO RESPONSE? You suck at football, baseball, AND golf. Table tennis, women's golf, etc. NOBODY CARES. THE SEARS CUP IS BIAS BECAUSE OF THAT. If they based it on the top 4 sports, you guys wouldn't be in the top 75. GIVE IT UP.

- nate jonesacc - 05-29-2003 08:24 PM

04-bow at your idiocy Techfan. You never cease to amaze me. 04-bow

I love how you are attacking the most respected and prestigious ranking of a team's athletic department. It makes you look like a fool.

What about SI? Ranking Duke top 20 in Athletics. Are they biased fools?

  Keep diggin that hole.

- techfan4 - 05-30-2003 09:17 AM

Athletics is stretched more than people think. What you fail to realize is that, NO ONE CARES. Who cares if you're 1st in women's tennis? AWho cares if you're 1st in women's lax. Nobody watches any of the women's sports(a little bit of basketball). Give it a rest. I will give you this, you're are one of the top 5 women's sport schools. And that only because they don't play football.

I hate to support dook at all, but they don't suck at golf -- they're playing in the NCAA championships this week along with Clemson, Wake, UNC, State, and Tech.

-JD

- techfan4 - 05-30-2003 10:36 AM

bahh...they shot like a +31 the other day. THEY SUCK.

- JD Heel - 05-30-2003 10:48 AM

Marquette got killed by Kansas in the Final Four -- that didn't mean that they sucked. They just had a bad day against a very good team.

It's the same thing in golf, but it's against a very good course instead of another team. dook shot a lot better yesterday (better than both Tech and us).

Now, dook football sucks -- there's no doubt about that.

Techfan, even a UNC fan is disagreeing with you. You know you're irrational when that happens. Come on buddy... get over your jealousy and bitterness. You'll be a happier person.

- techfan4 - 05-30-2003 04:08 PM

Dook golf is average. I'll give you that. FOOTBALL SUCKS!

- nate jonesacc - 05-30-2003 04:09 PM

Yeah, 5 bad years and the entire program sucks. How about those 2 rose bowls? Do they suck?

- techfan4 - 05-30-2003 04:10 PM

Yeah, those suck too.

Find you a time machine and I'm sure you'll be happy in the past.

- nate jonesacc - 05-30-2003 04:14 PM

Find me a time machine... one that can take you back to Georgia Tech dominance in football, or basketball.

Don't even say the Cremins years.

1960's--1960 and 1961 Football Champions
1990 Football Champions
1990 Basketball Final 4
1995-2003 Baseball
2000-2002 Golf Champions

oh yeah...

kiss my :arse:

- Lucy - 05-30-2003 04:39 PM

It was nice to see 6 ACC teams make it to the NCAA golf tournament, but I had to chuckle when dook missed the cut by one stroke, and the rest of us moved on.

Another banner year as 3 ACC teams will finish in the top 10:

Clemson - champs
Wake - tied for 4th
UNC - tied for 9th
04-bow

And those finishes will add some nice Sears Cup points to our totals... 03-cool

BTW, why isn't my angel smiley in this forum?????

04-cheers So do those 1960s championships count? And are those ACC or NCAA? Just curious...

1990 Final Four is "domination"? So DAMN! I guess Duke has been DOMINANT 16 times!

1960 & 1961 Football Champions? Wait, huh? You went 5-5 in 1960 and 7-4 in 1961. LOL, another Techie at his best.

- SouthLink02 - 06-02-2003 11:10 PM

And let's not forget that Tech was Co-Champions in 1990. All the polls got it like that.

- SouthLink02 - 06-02-2003 11:11 PM

Geez, I got another rant.

I think that anyone saying the Sears Trophey (Directors Cup) means nothing is kidding themselves. Yes, I know tons of worthless sports are added in. But no, Table Tennis and such AREN'T added. It does show how your overall program is doing in Men's and Women's. And yes, it does have flaws. But someone saying it is totally worthless and meaningless obviously has a school, such as Tech, that isn't highly ranked.

- techfan4 - 06-03-2003 12:44 PM

Sorry 1950...1952 Champions...51' and 52' SEC Champs

I screwed that up. I didn't mean the 60's
