Pearl may be a palooka who carries on as if he's David Putty at the Lady Vols games, but at least he's honest.
Remember when DeChellis interviewed for the PSU job and the two athletic departments were so hush-hush about it that it took the Centre Daily Times to call up Paul Stanton to find out if DeChellis had been contacted or not?
By the way- the CDT found that out. One would think Tri-Cities media would have better exposure to Stanton, but I digress.
Anyway, Pearl today admitted to everyone that Iowa had, yes, talked to him about their coaching job.
He also said he was turning it down. Something about preferring to "Get His Corn From a Jar," whatever the he11 that means.
You want to know why UT is perceived as doing things the right way and ETSU the wrong way, this is a classic example.
