Anyone have a clue how ASU will fare within the Southern this year? Won their only conference game so far by defeating Citadel, then Citadel gets really trounced by another team days later. Still no indication of ASU potential. Surely this young team will jell and improve as the season progresses but usually the compettion does also. 03-cool [B]

Well, let's see, you posted this back in 2003.....they were better that year than 2004 I believe.....got really good in 2005 and every year since then. Now if you mean this year, 2009, that is going to be hard to predict.

0-2 is a tough way to start, but I think if APP can get back on track against Samford, they can get back in rhythm. I don't think it's out of the question to think they could only drop one more game between now and season's end. With Armanti driving that monster-offense, I'm not surprised by anything anymore.

Go Mountaineers.

Normally that might be true. But since you guys have Scott Satterfield, I don't have a lot of confidence in that monster-offense. I sure miss him. He was like a God to a lot of us Mountaineers at App State.

I still think you guys will be ok. I'm certainly happy to have Satterfield here in T-town, he's made a huge difference for us already -

Yeah, I would tend to agree with the notion that he'll return to Boone when Moore decides to hang it up.

But in the meantime, he's gonna stick it out in the MAC and bring Toledo back to power. The team is headed to Muncie, IN, as I type this - and he's gonna help make it rain on the Cardinals tomorrow, when Toledo opens conference play.

Is Scott Satterfield still doing well?

Guess it takes a little while to get things in really good shape.

Just thought I would post here in 2010....

Anyone that comes on surely knows about all the other Appalachian State sites:
MountaineerMessageBoard
MountaineerIllustrated on Rivals
AppFan
AppCountry
several others.

Appreciate it. Think it would be great to be back in a conference with East Carolina. Marshall, maybe not so much, but they are almost as close as ECU.
Could really cut down on some travel costs. Traveling from Greenville to Boone could pick up some minor sports games with some of the four Blind Mice.

Appreciate it. Kept this thread alive for awhile at least.

P.S. - If you want post count up just go to one of the many Word Association threads.

God, I remember these guys; my mother had this record. :)

Wish East Tennessee could go to the sunbelt. We had some great games with App State
. I guess we'll be in the socon though to get going again.

You are correct. It was a great rivalry. Hated that your admin back then decided to cut football (of course, I didn't know all the ins and outs). If they were a bit more proactive back then, who knows where ETSU would be now.

I miss Ape hate. All the JMU fans are self absorbed hating each other and our admin. Maybe we will be back to hating Ape State with in six weeks?
