We won that game

3:54 left. Down 9 with Swing going to the line. I doubt we score 9 points in the last 4 minutes.

This game is going to be a valuable learning experience and will help as we get into conference play. It's a shame we couldn't handle the FN ball because this was a winnable high RPI game.

UAB had 4 steals! Not good enough. Gave up 15 steals. Unbelievable!

when you have that many turnovers, there are going to be a lot of steals on the other end.

I hope Dayshawn Watkins is the real deal at PG next year, cuz UAB hasn't had one since AJ took off the jersey.

it is DIFFICULT to switch from slow pace to a fast pace

Yep. It's not like he committed all 27 turnovers. He is doing a fine job so far. It takes a lot of continuity to run Haase's offense, and it's clear that these guys are learning on the fly. PG is the least of my worries this year.

How did we turn it over THAT many times? It's not Illinois State is known for playing an up tempo, pressure, full court defense, right??

They did pressure but a lot of them were just bad passes and poor ball handling.

For people who have been able to see games in person or watch them, as I unfortunately have not been able to do as of yet this year, have we really been playing as fast and up tempo as Haase said we would - Haase fast? Our point totals haven't seemed to be that high.

Well, we shot 38% against Creighton, 33% vs PVAM, and shot 39% tonight and turned the ball over 27 times.
