Not surprising in the least. There's probably much more than this.

Not surprising at all, I bet you 75% of College Coaches out there do this and more..It's just whoever the NCAA wants to find something on at any particular time..

So, you condone cheating?

Considering Memphis is still considered an "outlaw" program because of the Dana Kirk and John Calipari era, I would think that most Tiger fans would be appalled by this type of behavior.

Or would you rather be on probation again?

I'm not okay with it. According to the NCAA, we've only got one trip to the NCAA finals because the other two have been vacated.

I've never been bummed that we decided against Drew, and have no regrets over Pastner as our coach... BUT--

if phone calls and texts are the only violations an NCAA investigation turned up, then Drew is not nearly as dirty as everyone makes him out to be. Unless he IS that dirty and is just really good at covering his tracks.

It's not dramatic. It's fact. The whole world outside Memphis thinks we run an outlaw basketball program.

But since you already condone cheating (but not getting caught) what difference does it make to you?

I am appalled by this type of behavior also, but if you think that most Coaches don't do something against the rule book well I just don't know what to tell ya!!

I thought they did away with the texting and phonecall rules a couple of years ago?

This is not a big deal on the surface. The NCAA reduced the limitations on phonecalls a few years back.

I think these violations are before the rules.
