Don't sweat it. They're from Massachusetts, which means they more than likely from Boston, which has an arrogance and superiority attitude second only to New York. And when has UMass hoops done anything? Oh yeah, went to the Final Four — only to vacate it.

I think Montgomery needs to look to get a transfer in here. I was listening to Fred Hoiberg talk about Iowa State and how they were able to be successful right away and he mentioned targeting some transfers that he knew would catch on quick and be able to play right away in D-1 basketball. It could help us get over the hump much faster.

NIU basketball is bad. I have no problem people ripping the program. If they were doing that to NIU football I'd have some issues.

I don't have a problem with UMass fans criticizing NIU hoops, but I do have a problem with them claiming we don't deserve to be on their schedule. They're delusional to think they have some exalted status. At least we lose fair and square. UMass' greatest moment was wiped off the record books due to NCAA violations.

We suck at bball, I get that.. but they don't get to ***** as long as we have to have their football team on our schedule. This goes both ways.

In any case, I think they'll be pleasantly surprised with our RPI next year. I'm sure they don't know how young we were, that we had a new coach, that we lost a few guys before and during the season. We'll be much improved next year, even if we're not a MAC Championship team, we'll be much better than 330 RPI.

Agreed. We used to be a bit of a BBall school. Basketball is more mobile than football in that you can take a program up a notch with just a few players. NIU has had to hit the reset button with a few bad seasons, we'll be on the upswing where we belong in the blink of an eye.

With whom, UMass fans?? I did not see too many Huskie fans at the Convo last year. I do not think we have many BB fans sitting at home, either.
