How many MAC Men's BB teams will be in 2012 post season play:
NCAA:68 teams:?
CBI:16 teams:?
CIT:24 teams:?
NIT: 32 teams:?

KSU is in the CIT.

NCAA: Ohio or Akron
NIT: Ohio or Akron
CBI: Buffalo
CIT: Kent State

The only other +.500 schools are Toledo and Bowling Green. BG lost in the first round of the MAC tourney killing their chances and Toledo's RPI of #245 is too low to have anyone interested.

We will not get an NIT team unless Ohio wins tonight and Akron gets the autobid.
I could see the CIT or CBI inviting Toledo do to lack of teams wanting to pay to play as well better attendence than most "not so good" teams.

Obviously Akron will get an NIT if they don't win the MAC but they are projecting Ohio will be thrown an NIT bone if they don't get into the dance with 26 wins.

The projections have Ohio at somewhere between a 6th or 7th seed in the NIT.

And I'd really like to see Buffalo play in one of them...too bad if not.

I'm curious. Why do you think Ohio wouldn't get an NIT bid with 26-8 record (if they lost tonight of course)?

Because when our Conference champions get a bid to the NIT, they are always 7 or 8 seeds

I have to disagree with you; Ohio is too good a team to be left out. Don't think it'll matter though; I've got Ohio winning tonight!

Ohio is definitely in the NIT if they lose..probably a #4 or #5 seed in the NIT.

Both teams are looking really good right now...

CBI: Buffalo (Maybe outside shot at NIT)
CIT: Kent St.
