I agree. Life is too short not to be happy. We will miss JJ but tiger basketball will survive. Fans, it's time to rally the troops.

This is the 8th different player we've had a "personal matter" with in 3 years. I'm finding it hard to believe its all the players fault. Sounds like a leadership "matter" to me. I'm hearing nine and ten are soon to follow.

Well, if they don't want to be tigers, maybe it's best they leave.

Maybe it's the man at the top that doesn't need to be a tiger?

And maybe it isn't. Maybe it's time for players to take responsibility for their actions and their play. Maybe it's time they quit listening to their handlers/friends/hanger-ons and listen to the coaches. Maybe it's time for him to just play ball and not worry about being the king of wherever he is. Maybe it's time to check their egos & attitudes at the door. Maybe it's time for us to trust the coaches since they know EVERYTHING that is going on and we don't ?

So I guess we all hate Cowboy now? I guess there was a Bluebeard pow wow while we are all asleep that we are going to blame a 19 year old kid and an aau coach. You people over here really are something else the way y'all jump on and off the ship when it comes to players and telling everyone how to be a fan. MissJ you really take the cake.

I'm sure there is "blame" to be put everywhere. We don't know what all has been said and done. I chose to support the coaching staff on this because they are adults dealing with young men that obviously aren't happy. Bottom line is Coach Josh Pastner is our coach right now today. I had several coaches in my life that I thought sucked and were unfair...everyone reacts differently about how to deal with that. Suck it up and try to get better or quit.

Maybe its time you move along. Most of what you post is negative. This board was alot better three years ago.

Jeb and Miss J are spot on! Kids who have been given the PRIVILEGE of being Memphis Tiger basketball players, who are revered in this town and most of all of this region, need to wake up and realize what a gift it is and work as hard as they can and do what the coaches ask of them to their fullest potential.

This program is 100 times bigger than any of them will ever be, and they can either become an invested part of the program and believe in Pastner, or they need to hit the road.

The program is 100 times bigger than the coach as well. Its not heresy to question if he is a piss poor motivator/leader. Something isnt right, and probably more than just "kids have a bad attitude". Though I agree thats most likely a part of it.

RE: Anyone surprised that Cowboy chimes in?
Time to get a reality Check.....Josh And Staff are taking a page from the Coach Cal book and gonna focus more Nationally as well, and just a certain handful of Memphis Kids mixed in....Josh has Connections with WWW too you know...WHo do you think helped him get on Cal's staff....Josh and Our staff can recruit, We got "Showstopper" Thrill Barton doing his thing, He landed Shaq Goodwin, Damien Wilson, He is going HARD after Aquille Carr, And Plenty in 2013....So if a few Local get Ruffled so be it, Josh will Win and win Big in time here, and is gonna do it his way....You think Kids are not gonna wanna come here and train under Frank, Or after seeing what "Showstopper" Thrill Barton is doing, what Adonis Will Do.....TrUeTh...They will wan tto play and have Josh and Our staff get them to the next level as well.....Once they see What Josh Has Done with Thrill Barton, then that goes a long ways....ONce in NBA they will have to have Agents....Just saying...The World Is Ours Memphis.... TrUeTh is WWW and others want the best, guys that will be in the league with good careers....Until Joe learns that, He isn't gonna get better as a leader....
