Georgia Southern's coach needs his butt kicked for putting in a freshman pitcher during a pressure situation in the 9th inning. That was straight stupid.

I guess it pays to return all 9 members of your starting lineup, most of your bullpen, and your entire starting rotation from the previous year.

App gets the Sunday split, falling 11-6, then winning 6-4 to go 1-2 on the weekend.

Actually lead most of the weekend, with the bullpen falling apart in games one and two.

Coastal 3-0 on the weekend thus far... VaTech, Oklahoma, Kansas St. Have Indiana tomorrow yet.

So far, starting pitching looking great. 1 run each yesterday and today. Bullpen young, put us in extras twice now, but did just enough. Hope they gel a big because they’ve got some nasty stuff.

Unfortunately we have a really good USM team coming to Mobile Tuesday who will only have played 3 games. That’s going to be a tough one. We’ll need our offense to click.

They were impressive against Miss.St., Good luck.

This weekend was fun as hell. State fans bitched as usual about tickets. They never had a lead in any of the 3 games.

11-0, 7-4, and 5-2. . . . I've no doubt that, as you say, they bitched about tickets. I also have no doubt that the aforementioned scores stuck in their craws a lot more than a lack of tickets . . .

UTA is looking pretty good, their first big test will be against top ranked TCU this week. TCU is like 15 miles west of UTA so I'm expecting a nice crowd as always

your "looking good" is not the same as mine. the mavs lost two out of three at home to a-m corpus who is one of the lowest rated teams in the southland conference. pitching was a bright spot tho. as for tuesday game over at tcu..weatherman is predicting rain just about every day this week so it might be a challenge getting that game in.

Well you are scoring consistently.

We lost our two best returning hitters freak situations in preseason, and they are probably done for the year.

Our pitching was pretty bad last year, but we at times had enough offense behind them to make up for it. If we're going to score 3 runs a game, we're going to have a hard time winning 15 games this year. Have a lot of Freshman and JUCO guys that have to step up.
