Short answer: No.
Quote:The Shockers’ road to being a national power once again will continue beyond 2018, but there is plenty of reason to suggest that 2018 might, at the very least, mark a return to postseason contention for the program.
There's that pesky National Power label again...

Well a national championship and not missing the ncaa's for 20 straight years will get a program mentioned that way. Now if they said that about ORU baseball we'd all laugh. . . I mean that's like saying WSU is a national power in basketball.
Shocker basketball, the ORU baseball.
You need to stick to numbers, analytics, and metrics. Your analogies suck.
Damn, you're right. ORU baseball is way better than WSU basketball. I honestly insulted them.
WSU basketball:
Since 2006 6 of 12 years in the NCAA
Since 1998 6 of 20 years in the NCAA, largest sreak 5
Conference championship since 1998, 6
ORU baseball:
Since 2006 10 of 12 years in the NCAA
Since 1998 18 of 20 years in the NCAA, longest streak 15
Conference championships since 1998, 17.
My bad, didn't mean to get shocker fans hopes up. You're clearly not on ORU baseballs level.
Interesting the dates you chose to alter your argument.
Pretty weak I must say.
I also must say if you took half of the time you spent talking about WSU, you maybe could get a part time job somewhere and chip in to startup a baseball program for yourself.

No I compared the NCAA success of two teams from a minor conference at best. Multiple bids to the NCAA is rare for both and happens most often when the school is eliminated from the auto bid. One doesn't walk around claiming to be a national power even with a much more consistent record of playing at the top level. The other fills up a 10,000 seat arena and thinks a five year run is all it takes. Of course Butler basketball doesn't try that either and they put WSU to shame in the comparison too.
But carry on. . .

Wow, I remember when that site first got going. I used it for everything college baseball related.
Gonna be a pain to get scores now. That sucks.

Nah, they've even put the scores behind it, now. Which is silly, considering the scores are easily available on the NCAA website and the gamecasts are free on cbs.

Lol you talking about anyone's credibility. Even more lolz that you have such a small program syndrome that you have to try and casually drop in "national power" in threads about completely different sports. The most lolz at a national power who couldn't dominate the valley.
You found like 20 articles out of 100s probably 1000s of articles this year alone where some writer mentioned you as a national power. When people write about national powers you don't even get an after thought. You have a five year run of success; butler has a much longer one, more final fours, and back to back championship games. They're not a national power. Catch up to them and we'll talk, but you still won't be a national power.
Fever, we can go back to the start of the modern area when the tournament was expanded to 64. You get three extra NCAA appearences and zero conference championships. That's adding on 12 years to an already 20 year comparison and ORU baseball is still better and has more of an argument as a national power.

RE: AAC baseball preview for 2018
You’re talking about appearances to craft your dumb argument. Has ORU ever won a national title? Have they ever been to a CWS?
You’re the one with a major inferiority complex. You try so hard to belittle WSU. Why? I dunno. For your own program’s shortcomings? It’s a weird way to waste a day or a week on here talking so much about another program and not an iota about your own. That very fact speaks volumes.

No you make tiny little comments all the time and then claim to be the victim and everyone got triggered.
However while you were being off topic, I brought it back to baseball.
Alas, your lil man program syndrome took hold and you scoured the internet for a hand full of articles. Again ignoring the point that articles about national powers don't include you or that you are cherry picking out of 1000s of articles this last 30 days.

Yes I scoured thousands of articles...
I'm going to go ahead and share my little secret with you since I'm a nice guy:
Wichita National Power?
Conversely, searching the same string for Tulsa netted me advertisements for power washers...
Tulsa National Power?

Lol
You realize using a search engine is looking through thousands of articles right? Right?
You know how the internet works don't you?
Just because you typed it in one box doesn't change the process.
1000s of articles are written about college basketball every month.
