CAA/Other Opponents
Hofstra gassed with 12 mins still left. Possible big help for UNCW not having to play last Thursday.

Ended up winning by 20. Every game was a drumming...W&M, NU, UNCW, CoC dominated.

RE: CAA/Other Opponents
The CAA website has JMU and Elon playing on Monday 2/26. That might still impact seeding, 2 days after our season finale vs. Charleston. Would love to see the Tribe get at least 1 win this week to clinch a top 6 seed and probably a little more. After the 4-0 start, we have had 5 consecutive 1-1 weeks. Two more would mean 11-7 and a likely 4 seed(maybe 3??). If we win out, we will be the 2 seed(at worst). If we lose out, we would be in the group with Towson, Elon, UNCW and Drexel battling for 6th. We have clinched a higher finish than JMU and Delaware already.

UNCW up 30-25 at half over JMU in the mumps makeup game. Terrible basketball. Embarrassingly small crowd for a free entry game at JMU. Can't be more than 500 in attendance. Go ahead and spend that 88 mill on a new arena.

It was announced as 1,038.
JMU went from up 60-50 to down 61-50. Then JMU made 2 free throws to win 62-21. UNCW missed their last three shots. The teams combined to miss their last 8 field goals and 16 of their last 19. JMU shot field goals .379 and three-pointers .176, and both of those were better than UNCW. Each team made 1 out of 10 three-pointers in the first half. Jordon Talley, Matt Lewis, and Stuckey Mosley were the players with the most field goal attempts, and they combined to make 11 out of 42 (.262). Devontae Cacok, Lewis, and Darius Banks tied for the most points with 16. Cacok shot well, but has 8 rebounds were well below his average.

Would imagine they included season ticket holders who weren't at the game.

JMU's win tonight would appear to give the Tribe, at worst, a magic # of 1 against Drexel and UNCW to clinch a top 6 spot in the CAA tourney.
For all I know, it's now clinched as I do not know the tie-breakers if Tribe, Drexel, and UNCW all finish 9-9.

Drexel still has to play uncw, so a 3-way tie isn't possible. Under a scenario where wm ties Drexel at 9-9 and Charleston is the 1 seed, Drexel holds the tiebreak over wm due to their win over Charleston. Same thing for uncw, if we assume they get to 9 wins.

How about we just win tomorrow and put all the tie breakers to bed for the six seed.

How about 2 wins and a Towson and Elon loss locks up Top 4 for the Tribe.

Those same 2 wins lock up a 3 seed if one of them is tomorrow over Hofstra. Plus, if we can manage to win and we get some help from JMU, we might still have a slim chance at the regular season title. Charleston is 3-3 on the road and has 3 of their last four(JMU, W&M and UNCW) on the road. They are really good so I do not expect it to happen. Basically since they will have the tiebreaker over us, we need them to lose both games this week while we win at Hofstra and at Northeastern. Probably not going to happen. At this point, I just hope we can avoid Towson and I would like to finish ahead of Hofstra. Northeastern has 3 of 4 at home so we likely need to win out to pass them(which I don't think will happen, either).

I'm not as worried about Towson. They have fallen off a lot since a red hot start and losing Morman doesn't help them. I want to avoid the guard heavy teams who play half court offense.

If we win out, we would only need Charleston to lose one more and then at worst we would end in a three way tie for first with them and NE.
Regardless, I don't expect that to happen.
