Agreed. I still can't remember the name of a single Cav player, but when you look up "TEAM" in the dictionary there is a picture of Bennett.

GT also had six scholarship players available for the Syracuse game. That game set back offense in basketball a few decades.

Duke loses to St John's, who is 0-10 in the Big East. Good game for conference perception.

That Duke loss was a head scratcher.

Meanwhile UVa continues to impress.

Ultimately, only the NCAA tournament matters though.

Louisville looks like they have gone from a solidly in the field team (projected as high as a 6 seed) to quickly backsliding to the bubble. The last two games they looked squarely like an NIT team.

Syracuse played well last night to get the road win, but I still project them at around 8-10 in the ACC.

your not wrong. unless we can win 3 home games(wake,nc state, unc, clemson) and 1 road game(@ bc, @ duke, @ miami) were 8-10 likely

Why do you scrap the inside game where you were starting to dominate & had gotten 4 fouls on each of the 3 Cuse bigs?

Curious decision by Louisville...however, it appears Cuse made a subtle change

Yeah, our frontcourt players had to play cautiously with all those fouls as we had no one else behind them to take up the slack except a reliable Sidibe who is hurt. They should have just kept pounding the ball inside instead of shooting up 3 point bricks. Your big African center was having a field day until they stopped getting the ball to him. It was just him and the basket with no one in between.

With the #2 ranked Hoos' victory over FSU and the upset of #1 Villanova and #3 Purdue, can the Hokies on Saturday spoil UVa's chance to become #1?

Apparently so. Of course the end result is probably better for the ACC, so you might say the Cavs "took one for the team". The Hokies likely put themselves firmly on the good side of the bubble, and gave themselves some breathing room in case some other ACC team turns the tables and upsets them.

Nationwide, the story seems to be the same. There are a lot of very good teams out there, capable of beating anyone on a given day. And just as capable of being beaten. There aren't a lot of truly dominant teams, though.

Apparently not. Yes, Tech upset us but we still rose in the polls to #1! Who saw that coming?
I am glad we could take one for the team and still be number 1. I really can't believe Hokies upset us after being ahead of them by about 35 points down in Blacksburg earlier in the season. But It is hard to beat any acc team twice with the great coaches in this league. I am therefore a little worried about our visit to Louisville still ahead.
But, hey to lose to the Hokies and still moving up to #1 in the polls plus the number one overall seed nationally is pretty sweet right now.

Congrats to the Cavs.

Louisville looks like it has a few players who have essentially packed it in. Hello NIT.

That may be true but you have to give Duke a lot of credit, they were on fire last night. Duke is looking like a contender for the national championship.

So, I guess that hookers and booze for teenagers doesn't necessarily result in success. Who would have thunk it???

Right, like Louisville is the only school with NCAA violations. Basically everyone who won a title this century has players named in the latest Yahoo sports report.

Keep being obsessed with Louisville though. It's quite flattering.
