Crazy to think that Buffalo has already built a two-game lead in the East just four games in

My guess, and it isn't Sunday morning quarterbacking (following Saturday games. ) is that we'll have UB vs everyone else.
My guess UB goes 14 - 4 and the next best record is probably 12 - 6.
MAC tourney will be to get seeding not on the UB line.

Really early for that... I'd like to see how we handle Western Michigan.

based on 4 games, clearly, the league goes through Buffalo and the West looks like it goes through Toledo unless Ball St proves otherwise. MAC could be very tight 2-12.

Disagree. Toledo lives and dies by the three. We could easily lose 3 in a row on a bad shooting streak. Coaching in close games is also extremely suspect. I doubt we'll have an answer for JT4 or Persons this season.

I think BSU will be there in the end (West division wise) but they haven't shown anything that tells me they are any better than Toledo, Western, Eastern and maybe Central. Gonna be a cluster.

I agree to a point in that Toledo hasn't beaten a real good team yet this season and seem to struggle to finish games against them. It is entirely possible that this Toledo hot streak won't last and I'm not picking Toledo to win the MAC tourney. However, Toledo looks like the 2nd most consistently decent team in the league. EMU has talent and defense, but their offensive coaching and consistency is very suspect. Ball St has that go to guy in Persons and enough role players to surround him, but I think they are step down if you compare their 2nd 3rd 4th options to Toledo. At times they play real good defense and had a stretch of games when they looked real good, but have been inconsistent lately. Basically, there's 5 or 6 teams that could win this league and so far Buffalo has shown they are capable and Toledo has been nearly as good and every one else still has some work to do. In a couple weeks this debate may be very different.

MAC is a wacky league. Last year Akron was invincible most of the season and had I think a four-game lead ... then struggled down the stretch ... At the same time Ball State, WMU and Kent suddenly turned things around late.
LONG SEASON. But right now UB is absolutely the horse to ride.

Agree. I don't see a mid-major version of Duke in the conference.
UB is doing well but not a super team.

Spot on... I'd love to see Buffalo run away with it winning these games by 10-20 points every time. But Miami showed that an unfocused Buffalo team is entirely beatable.
Can Buffalo keep focused until march?
The only really scary thing for the MAC is that UB has yet to put their whole team on the floor at one time this year. Clark had to get through the fall semester for his transfer and the Bulls have been nursing an injury here or there.
UB's resume is not going to get them an at large.... Maybe if they run the table and get knocked off in the MACC they *might* be considered a bubble team but I don't see it (the freaking bona / syracuse games got away from us).

I think you are right. I don't think running the table would even do it. Just no good wins really on their resume. They have a good RPI and SOS but unfortunately lost to all the good teams that boosted those. But I hope Buffalo joins Toledo in the NCAA tournament
