“There’s a lot of opportunities that we left out there,” Childers said. “There’s stuff that we have to work on and get better at. me being more consistent and the guys being more consistent too with catching the ball.”

I hope Childers works his butt off to become a consistent passer next year. I hope the coaching staff comes up with a lot better running scheme as well. All we did with Huff and Harbs were inside handoffs to the middle where it was either feast or famine. Our running game was absolutely basic and predictable. Let’s use Harbs to his fullest potential and not waste his talent like we wasted Huff’s. Please!

Childers loses his freshman disclaimer next year. No more, "He's a good QB - for a freshman". He will not be eligible for the MAC Freshman of the Year award. He will have to be judged among other MAC starting QBs. In '17, I do not think he was among the top 5 MAC QBs

Hopefully there is a reason we didn't burn the redshirt on Hall. If he is more dynamic then he needs an opportunity to win the job. Childers hasn't done anything to be given the keys right out of spring ball.
There is a reason he didn’t burn his redshirt lol he did not show the ability to throw the ball lol
Maybe he improves we will see

In part because we have a coaching staff that has zero ability to evaluate talent. **** DOES that include recruiting players?05-stirthepot

That said it does not matter so much which receivers we play until and unless we have a QB that can get them the ball. We had one of those but he was nailed to the bench for taking a risk despite his ability to make plays.

Good player but I don’t think he ever played to expectations. Wish him the best but I’m excited about the combination of Tears and Wesley.....

RE: Wesley > Blake
I hope they play all 3 bigger redshirt red shirt targets next year. Cam Newton logic. He's not accurate so they surrounded him with big receivers. This when inevitably childers is qb

Agree.

We are starving for bigger playmakers that can make a play without a perfect pass. Sometimes you just have to get them on the field and see if they can swim.
