We have to separate what he did here(which was exceptional) and what happened elsewhere. Do you think a scheme that big could really be run without assistant coaches knowing(at least a little)? Those are the guys beating down the trails doing the recruiting. Fair or not, there is a guilt by association here.

Remember that there's evidence that will be forthcoming from the FBI. We won't have to speculate on how much people knew. The FBI has been collecting evidence for years. If anyone knew anything, they'll be getting calls, and either they'll fall or the "bigger fish" will fall. All there is to it.

Unlike the NCAA, the FBI has a very high success rate with getting these investigations right.

I really don't know who knew what. I do know that the fewer people involved in a scheme the better chance you have to get away with it. Keatts could have been right in the middle of it all. Or they may not have trusted him enough to go along with it. But there's an investigation going on and the facts will come out in due time. I don't understand why we should feel it right to slander a person to the point it could possibly do damage to them and their family.

I put that in just for you and I have been put on notice that the Kmart part is in correct-so I guess it is UNC by the Big Vacant Lot!
I am in full support of the basketball program for the last 2 years again. I like what is happening now and enjoyed the team last season as well.

I think Keatts will turn it around and win games but who knows if he can get lucky enough to land talent good enough to beat UNC and Duke and that will be the measuring stick at NCSU- like it or not. He also could fall victim to the Adidas scandal at any minute and nobody would be surprised at all. I like State but I think they hired a snake in the grass.

I would "tell you what I think" but Im sure Id be banned.Coach Keatts is the furthest thing from a snake in the grass and its embarrassing that one of our fans would now say that about a man that did so much for our program.

Okay Gray. Since you're still new around here I'm going to go easy here. However, this information is a must: Mullet is not a UNCW fan. He's here because he lives in Wilmington. He's the "anti" voice to everything we hold dear and sacred as Seahawk fans. Sometimes, he posts things we agree with, but most of the time that's not the case. So please, don't confuse him with a UNCW grad, fan, or anything of the like. Stick around long enough and you'll get used to it.
True I did not attend UNCW by the Kmart but I have been a longtime supporter of UNCW basketball . If I was sentenced to live in Greenville,NC -I would NOT support Pirate sports in any capacity! Woo !!

Yeah. You can claim whatever you want. We know the truth.

That is a low blow coming from a W&M fanatic. We know you have those season tickets now !

Went when I could during the Benny years and pretty much the same with Peterson.
Missed most of the first 2 years of Keatts era . Had season tickets last year and made about 1/2 of the games. Not sure how you can make that out to be bandwagon but I get that you like to think that.

By your original statement it would be easy to make that assumption.

Gentlemen - and I use that term loosely is a couple of cases - don't you think it is time to stop flogging this dead horse? I mean Keats is gone, he brought the UNCW program back from oblivion and is trying to move himself and another school up. He may or may not have been involved in dirty deeds somewhere else - no one knows but him.
Declare all of this bull finished until it is proven that he was in some manner been a conspirator in some missdoings.

We have to separate what he did here(which was exceptional) and what happened elsewhere. Do you think a scheme that big could really be run without assistant coaches knowing(at least a little)? I'm not slandering anyone with statement, simply saying he worked on the staff and the leader of that staff is in some serious $hit. Did Paterno not get slaughtered because he looked the other way on something?

Wonder if CG was in the picture on SportsCenter Saturday night when the Tribe beat ODU? Check the video I posted in the other CAA thread and see if you find him.

Crush the Pirates tonight. We are all CAA brethren until Dec. 30th. At least you guys play defense, or at least more than Marshall. You might be able to beat ECU playing 3 on 5 like Alabama did against Minnesota on Saturday.

At least neither of our schools lost to a 5 point play, but that is what happened to JMU last night. It sounds like they got jobbed against George Mason.

Maybe CG can try graduate school at W&M. Law school or business?
