Attendance was low, but many stayed to the end of the game.

Great average!

14,505 is pretty puny, but still double what we usually had before on Iron Bowl day.

Our defense dominated the game. They improved throughout the season.

Compare that to the last game of previous years and on the same day as the iron bowl, and it isn't such a downside.

Our attendance has always dropped off late. Not sure what to do about it other than continue to win games. Maybe schedule an in-state team that might bring some fans in November? Tough with conference schedules.

Some people also travel to be with family on this weekend. I know I had to travel back to the Ham just to make the game. Maybe just schedule a road game to be safe.

The crowd was honestly better than I thought it'd be, especially considering it was Thanksgiving weekend and that other game was played today also.

RE: UTEP Game Thread.
Ok. Thanksgiving weekend. Students on Thanksgiving holiday. Iron Bowl Saturday, and bammer is at 2:30, not 6:00. I get all that, but at 11:30 when it came time to honor the seniors I'd be surprised if there were as many as 5,000 people doing it. I was at the top of LF with a great view, and my horseback estimate is that there *might* have been as much as a third of the crowd we had later.

I felt really bad for those seniors. I don't know that I can think of another time that I have ever said this, but I was truly disappointed in the Blazer fans this morning. After what they went through and what they've done for the program and us, the fans, those guys deserved better from us.

Same. I said before the game I'd be pretty pleased with 15k given the circumstances.

I had guesstimated 15k.

Part of the problem was giving away bobble heads. That took away focus. People were scrambling for those instead of going in to see the seniors.

Bobbleheads already selling for $50 on eBay. Interestingly, two were sold as early as 11/21.
