RE: Buffalo game thread
A while back, we decided that if our house was sold, we’d go to this tournament...if not, we’d stay home.
I’m SUPER glad the house didn’t get sold until last week. Dodged a bullet there

You’ve never seemed to be behind him or haase. If you are perhaps you should say something positive once in a while.

RE: Buffalo game thread
I only watched the last 50% of the second half, but I think it's pretty obvious Perry should be playing more minutes than Darling. I still think Darling adds a lot to the offense, but he's more like the excellent fifth option than primary or secondary right now.
Also, at some point Ehsan has to adopt a new defensive philosophy. We have mobile big men in Cokley, Lee, Gueye, and Sullivan. We should switch every high screen.
And, I don't know, maybe let's try over-committing to defending the corner three for once?
You want to know the best way to defend three-point shooters? Don't let them take the shot in the first place.

Caruthers for Buffalo was 4-5 on three-pointers in the game.
Including tonight, he's 4-6 on the season. His 3P% was 28% last year.

Yep, except I think we need Perry's offense off the bench. Let Darling continue to start and if he struggles don't hesitate to bring in Perry. Darling has got to get his shot/confidence back!
We need to learn or coaches need to stress/teach 3pt defense. This seems to be a carryover from the Haase era. Our defensive philosophy seems to be "They can'r hit the 3, so let them shoot it". Well, even I might have a decent 3pt% if no one is guarding me. Buffalo shot more 3ptrs than 2ptrs because they were wide open(shot nearly 40%). It seems every game is the opposition's best 3 pt game. Do the guys understand the dribble-drive, drive-and-kick, etc?

Great points
Cokley, Perry, and Bryant can carry us as starters. Would look at bring HaHa off the bench with Norton and Sullivan vet bench.

Still don't understand the lack of playing time for both Smallwood and Hurtado. A true center and a true point guard.

Definitely played better but not good enough. Especially on defense. For years now even going back to Haase we are helping teams set records for number of 3s made and 3pt FG %. Is that okay with Ehsan and the other assistants? Not sure I can tell that they care.

They are both clearly at the bottom of the depth chart for a reason.... nowhere near as talented or productive as the guys above them.

Glad to see us show some resiliency tonight, but our defense sucks. It's plainly obvious. Either the coaches don't care or are completely incompetent. This team isn't very good.

Outside of three-four guys they can get minutes.
