Good guess on the distance. I went west young man. I left the Queen city to go to the family farm in Missouri. Glad to introduce you to Robin Trower. He was in the band Procul Harum before going solo. Grand Funk Railroad is a good band as well. If I went east, I definitely would have gone back to Watkins Glen in the Finger Lakes in New York. You would enjoy that region.

Found an old cd I had burned off a friend back in college. I don't think there was any house party in 1987 that wasn't playing a song from this band. Totally forgot about them though over the years.

I'm so glad I got to see AC/DC live three times back in the '80s. Amazing show and so full of energy.

What a classic live album. "Gallagher's 1974 tour of Ireland coincided with one of the most tumultuous times in Belfast. Violence from IRA was erupting throughout the city even at rock concerts. As a result, most rock acts refused to play in the city. The day before Gallagher's scheduled concert in Belfast ten bombs went off at various locations around the city. Everyone expected Gallagher to cancel as all the other big names had but he went on with the concert and was rewarded with one of his best shows."

For quenching my dark synthpop retro-80s thirst...

Good stuff Brother Dale. The Too Much Alcohol tune reminds me a little of Johnny Winter.
