RE: NY Times covered up Weinstein's predations
Quote:Meryl Streep led an increasingly vocal Hollywood chorus condemning the reported sexual misconduct of the Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein on Monday, issuing a carefully worded statement released to HuffPost. She decried the behavior as “disgraceful” and “inexcusable,” yet also pleaded ignorance about it, writing, “Not everybody knew.”

Ms. Streep’s statement seemed to have opened the floodgates, with Glenn Close and Judi Dench, among others, soon voicing their own dismay and disgust about Mr. Weinstein.

Judi Dench, Glenn Close and Meryl Streep Speak Out on Harvey Weinstein

I've also read condemnations from Lena Dunham, Ally Sheedy and a few others.

Could it be because she didn’t actually have the goods then, now or in between?”

So you didn't read the article. She answered that.

Its bigger than you think (referring to the scandal).

...Hollywood is full of connoisseurs like Weinstein, men whose erotic imaginations are fueled primarily by humiliation, who glut their sensibilities with the most exquisite refinements of shame. A journalist once told me about visiting another very famous Hollywood producer—you’d know the name—who exhibited for my friend his collection of photographs of famous female actresses—you’d know their names, too—performing sexual acts for his private viewing. As with Weinstein, this man’s chief thrill was humiliation, and the more famous the target the more roundly it was savored: Even her, a big star—these people will do anything to land a role; they’re so awful, they’ll even do it for me....

RE: NY Times covered up Weinstein's predations
Matt Damon called 'spineless profiteer who stays silent' by Harvey Weinstein victim Rose McGowan after it is revealed he and Russell Crowe helped kill a story about mogul's harassment
The Wrap founder Sharon Waxman says Matt Damon and Russell Crowe called her in 2004 to stop a negative story about Harvey Weinstein
At the time, Waxman was working for the New York Times and had been given the green light to investigate claims about the exec's inappropriate behavior
She says she found proof that Weinstein sexually harassed at least one woman, who then got a payout
Multiple sources told her that a man hired by Weinstein's former Miramax company had been put on the payroll to procure women for him
Waxman says Damon and Crowe called her to vouch for that man, Fabrizio Lombardo, and eventually the story was killed
Weinstein victim Rose McGowan responded to this by tweeting: 'Hey @Mattdamon what’s it like to be a spineless profiteer who stays silent?'

Holy ****...the Bill O'Reilly "logic" is strong with this one. Shameful

"Now Moore, Jennifer Moore, 18, on her way to college. She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at two in the morning. She's walking by herself on the West Side Highway, and she gets picked up by a thug. All right. Now she's out of her mind, drunk" ~ BILLOW

Moore was raped and killed and left in a garbage bin.

NY Times covered up Weinstein's predations
Just heard the tape of him desperately pleading with and then attempting to intimidate a woman to come up to his room. Absolutely stomach churning.

Cut his nurts off. Having said that, what about all these big named Hollywood ladies names popping up now as having been assaulted and or harassed. I have seen several of those same women on stage championing women’s rights and all that jazz for years but they were standing by doing nothing even after he messed with them. Could have prevented some of it I have to think. Goes for the dudes who squashed the nyt story 13 years ago.

RE: NY Times covered up Weinstein's predations
The Hollywood Double Standard... Its all about the $$$$$

So it comes out that both Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie were harassed by Weinstein.

What do these two stars have in common? intimate relationships with Brad Pitt. In fact Pitt accosted Weinstein after Paltrow was harassed. Years later he hooked up with Jolie-- also an alleged victim.

Both George Clooney and Matt Damon helped bury stories about Weinstein. Who is George and Matt's best friend? Brad Pitt.

[Image: Matt-Damon-George-Clooney-Brad-Pitt-Pranks.jpg]

https://www.popsugar.com/celebrity/Matt-...s-43471264

Seems like Ben Affleck, who is close to Damon, has now attacked Weinstein as scum of the earth. But how about his two buddies who helped cover up Weinstein's activities? Not a word.

See there is no damn difference between these Liberal Hollywood Elite "Social Justice Warriors" who protected Weinstein for years... and those who protected Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes for doing the same damn thing.

But the Media Elite crucified O'Reilly and Ailes.

How can Pitt have any relationship with a couple of scumbags who covered for the douchebag that harassed his women?

The bottom line... nobody is going to Rock the Boat when it comes to their paycheck.
