I want to get a little positivity onto the board after that game. With that said, Kent scored more points against Clemson than Ohio State did!!! WOOT WOOT

Ha, that's just our luck. Schedule a team that was 2-9 last year then they do what we never can and find a stud freshman QB.

I suspect with a RB playing QB and the fact we are looking for walk on receivers and offensive linemen might have had something to do with it.

IDK. Holley played QB last year and threw enough passes to where he could have attempted a few. It was just a ridiculous game plan where IMO we didn't even try.

That book I referenced, written by Navy Seals, says there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. In this instance, I am down with that. Obviously the odds were stacked against us, but going in without a game plan to try to win and you get what we saw today. Very disappointing.

I agree with what your book preaches one only has to look at last years women's basketball team for proof of that. Also I am by no means defending this coaching staff. I just think scheduling Clemson (I know why they do it) gives them no chance of looking good. Remember there was a great leader at Dunkirk that saved the English Army at the time by retreating. I would like to see them go for it too but with the talent mismatch they decided otherwise.

RE: 2017 Football
You know, I'm not a fan of football, but you all are and I want to see the football team succeed for your general happiness. So, allow me to make a suggestion.

Ignore the first game against the ranked opponent. It's a pay the bills game. We know it. The opposing team knows it. Kent's player know it.

Treat the 2nd game of the season as the real opener. You'll be happier that way.

Just wondering, any interest in football at Kent State. I sure do not see any.

To be honest I'd rather talk wrestling and gymnastics. I'm a Browns fan I can't handle them and Kent State. It's too depressing.

I understand your position. I have given up on the entire NFL.

RE: 2017 Football
Never been much of a football fan. I realized I haven't watched a football game outside of hanging out with the in-laws where there is some time-passing going on for over 15 years.

RE: 2017 Football
I feel like I am in an abusive relationship with the football team. I keep giving them more chances to win me over only to be disappointed again when they fail. So I will be at the game this weekend but this game will determine if I even watch another Kent game for the rest of the year.

Our coaching decisions defy logic. Offense not doing much, then Crum connects on a 75 yard td. Next two possessions Bollas is in.

Heck, at least they're finally scoring touchdowns against an FBS team! That's marked improvement!

Did something happen to Crum? I was at the game and didn't see anything.

Two years ago I suggested we rid ourselves of the OC after we had something like 6 or 7 games without an offensive touchdown - I wanted to see Haynes succeed but being loyal to Treadwell is going to cost him and has made KSU football unwatchable

I was flabberdusted when Haynes was out and they made Treadwell temporary head coach.
