Brogan's game against Rutgers was solid it would look better if those four or five drops had actually been caught. However, we're hitting about 25% on third down conversions through two games, we need to do better.

Any way to defend that one, Luckeyone?

Hello everyone....whew tough loss yesterday!! The offense, Brogan included, did not play well yesterday! The players have to make plays but I'm going to hold the coaching staff accountable too. Right before half time, we had the ball on our side of midfield with first and 10. Then we get called for a penalty to make it 1st and 15 or 20. At that point, we should have just taken the snap and kneeled. We could have gone into the lockerroom with a 6-3 lead plus we get the ball in the second half. Clearly the offense had not moved the ball that well so did our coaching staff all of a sudden think we were going to march down and score with 30 seconds? I don't get it. After the penalty we should have gone into the lockerroom and regrouped!! Instead Brogan throws a pick six...not a good decision on his part but clearly from my perspective the coaching staff made a bad decision!! I

So the reason why our 3rd down conversions are so low is because EMU is one dimensional. We absolutely have no running game!!

I agree with what everyone has said about our offense, especially the comment of a "vanilla" offense. Except for the double pass that almost resulted in a touchdown, the majority of the plays were off tackle calls that resulted in minimal gains. Why no reverses? Screen passes? Sweeps? I could have called a better game. If, this is what our offensive coordinator is going to keep calling, we are going to be in for a long season. And if Creighton is okay with this offense, then he is not the guy to bring Eastern out of the depths. The Ken Karcher comment was spot on.

Creighton is the one who said this OLine is better than last year's

I'm assuming he was saying that just to stand behind his guys, because most were questioning them as a possible weakness. If not, you really have to question his judgement. And so far, he and Keen are making it very easy to question their offensive game plan.

If we come out with the same plan against Kentucky, instead of 27 carries for 45 yards, we may end up with negative yards rushing after including the sacks.

I love my life! but getting back on topic, here's the difference between EMU football and UT football: Darius Jackson vs Kareem Hunt. We are good, they are great. Not in their league yet, but we're making strides.
