If the change at point guard is all that has been promised (or hyped depending upon what we read) I'd say this team could be substantially better than any Mick has had. Front line size and experience, shooters in Evans and Cumberland with Broome to deliver assists and score.

What a great storyline developing here--UC takes their home season out of state and sells out the season. There are plenty of Bearcat fans in Northern Kentucky and this only strengthens the UC brand.

And on the east side/eastern suburbs. One can get to NKU pretty quick from Anderson Twp.

People have great misconceptions about how difficult it is to get from the highway to the NKU campus. IMO its easier to get to BB&T arena from the highway than it is getting to 5/3 from 75 or 71.

RE: 2017-18 Basketball scheduling
Tickets for the UC/Florida & VCU/Seton Hall games went on sale last Friday on ticketmaster. Right now they only show a limited number of tickets behind the basket for sale...I imagine that's because they gave 90% of the tickets to each of the 4 schools to try and sell first.

Anyone here have any inside info about UC offering fans a chance to buy tix?

I actually reached out today to ask and the response was

"At this time, we do not have any information regarding the game against Florida is New Jersey. I would recommend purchasing through Ticketmaster and the Prudential Center here:"

So I think I'm going to go ahead and buy tickets now and if school has a deal later, can always sell these ones on StubHub or something.

The University of Cincinnati men's basketball game at UCLA, Dec. 16, will be televised nationally by CBS beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET, the Pac-12 Conference and UCLA announced Tuesday.

The contest at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles is the first matchup of a home-and-home series the two schools announced in May. The Bearcats will play host to the Bruins inside what will be a newly renovated Fifth Third Arena on Dec. 19, 2018.

The two schools met in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season with UCLA claiming a 79-67 victory on Mar. 19 in Sacramento, California. The series is tied 2-2 overall.

CBS is also scheduled to nationally televise UC's 2017-18 regular-season finale at new American Athletic Conference member Wichita State beginning at noon ET on Mar. 4 in Wichita, Kansas.

SEASON TICKET INFORMATION
A limited number of season tickets for the 2017-18 UC men's basketball campaign are on sale now at the UC athletics ticket office on the fourth floor the Richard E. Lindner Center, on the phone at 1-877-CATS-TIX or online at GoBearcats.com/tickets. Due to anticipated high demand, purchasing season tickets may be the only way fans can guarantee their seats for Bearcats' home games at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

The Top 25 Non-Conference Games

8. Cincinnati vs. Florida – Never Forget Tribute Classic (Newark, N.J.) – Dec. 9 : The Bearcats return a ton from a 30-win team and the Gators’ roster is mainly unchanged after last year’s Elite 8 run. Two veteran teams with major aspirations will be taking the floor with their eyes on maybe moving a seed-line with a resume-boosting win.

11. Cincinnati at UCLA – Dec. 16 (3:30 p.m.): Both the Bearcats and Bruins have solid non-conference schedules this season, and this matchup will be among the best for both.

12. Cincinnati at Xavier – Dec. 2 (Noon): The Crosstown Shootout is a must-see every year, and with the Bearcats and Musketeers set to be top-20 teams, this year’s no different.
