UC-Berkeley "Bracing" For Ben Shapiro; To Offer Students Psychological Counseling
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Quote:The University of California, Berkeley is offering enhanced security and counseling services to students for former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro's speech on campus next week.
Shapiro, a conservative political commentator who has spoken at UC Berkeley without incident before, responded on Twitter to the university offering counselors for those who could be potentially impacted by his appearance or speech.
He also described the move as "total insanity."
"If there ever needed to be confirmation that Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro’s characterization of Leftist students at American universities as 'snowflakes' hits the bulls-eye, the campus-wide announcement issued by Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Paul Alivisatos of the University of California, Berkeley, regarding Shapiro’s September 14 speech at the university offered just that," the Daily Wire article said.

Girding itself for a visit from another polarizing political figure and the possibility of more violent protests, UC Berkeley is tightening campus security.
In a message sent earlier this week, Provost Paul Alivisatos said the university was taking precautions in advance of the Sept. 14 visit by conservative political commentator and former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro. There will be a “closed perimeter” around the building where Shapiro is scheduled to speak, and an “increased and highly visible police presence.”

He'll show up anyway and deliver the speech in the quad if he has to. He did so at DePaul, and only left because it's a private campus and they threatened him with arrest.

They sure the heck need it.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in one of those sessions.
No you wouldn't. My wife does it hours a day. Maybe one session, for giggles, I get that cause that's what i do when reading some of the schit on here or hearing the stories. Those actually doing this line of work?
We're screwed. Especially with the snowflake degeneration.

Shapiro is one of the most reasonable conservatives out there. He's not a provocateur like Milo or Coulter who trolls liberals into acting like idiots. He takes their questions, let's them try to make their point, then turns their own words against them.

To be honest, it probably infuriates them worse.
They're natural mindset is that all conservatives grew up on under a rock and hardly know the alphabet. So it's much easier for them to just throw a fit and get their way by burning the campus down so they don't have to listen to Milo or Coulter.
I would imagine it's twice as bad when a calm, smart, conservative like Shapiro allows them their chance to speak to him and then makes them look like fools with their own words.

He went after President Trump hard in the primaries (which is understandable) and then never came home, but he also didn't vote for sick hillary.
He says he calls balls and strikes -- praises President Trump when he does good things and criticizes him when he does bad things. I disagree with a lot of what he criticizes President Trump for (you call tell some of it is out of pettiness for being so wrong on his election prognostications), but overall, he is pretty fair. He certainly isn't hysterical like Glen Beck or others in the National Review crowd.

I've always found his analyses very rational, well thought out and evenly expressed even when I might not have agreed.

Amazing that you can disagree, and not believe that your sense of safety or belonging is being threatened. I guess that you will not be utilizing the psychological counseling services provided by Berkeley.

Berkeley can merely transition the snowflakes from the psychological counseling sessions straight to the insane asylum.

Shapiro has been labeled a "white supremiacist" by antifa. bahahahaha
Quote:Left-wing agitators have falsely labeled conservative commentator Ben Shapiro a “white supremacist,” in an apparent attempt to inflame tensions ahead of Shapiro’s speech at the University of California, Berkeley on Thursday.
Shapiro, the editor in chief of The Daily Wire, is an Orthodox Jew and a vocal opponent of the alt-right and other fringe white nationalist groups. Nevertheless, Refuse Fascism, a group that has previously organized violent demonstrations in Berkeley, labeled Shapiro a “fascist thug” and “white supremacist” over the weekend.

Agree. Even when I disagree with his stance on a topic I can understand why he would hold such a belief because of the way he articulates his position.
