UTSA comes in at number two in the West, and as we anticipated and as is appropriate, UAB has the least difficult schedule in the West. A little surprisingly, Charlotte has the overall easiest OOC schedule, with UAB sliding in just ahead of them and tied with WKU. I will repeat the East rankings here just so you can see everything all together.

1. Middle Tennessee (251 points) – Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Syracuse, Bowling Green
2. Marshall (239 points) – Miami (Ohio), NC State, Kent State, Cincinnati
3. Old Dominion (222 points) – Albany, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, UMass
4. Florida International (194 points) – Alcorn State, Central Florida, Indiana, Tulane
5. Florida Atlantic (183 points) – Bethune-Cookman, Navy, Wisconsin, Buffalo
6. Western Kentucky (157 points) – Eastern Kentucky, Ball State, Illinois, Vanderbilt
7. Charlotte (140 points) – NC A&T, Eastern Michigan, Kansas State, Georgia State

1. Rice (345 points) – Stanford, Houston, Pitt, Army
2. UTEP (276 points) - Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico State, Army
3. Southern Miss (216 points) – Southern, Kentucky, LA-Monroe, Tennessee
4. LA Tech (211 points) – Northwestern State, South Alabama, Mississippi State, South Carolina
5. North Texas (201 points) – SMU, Lamar, Iowa, Army
6. UTSA (179 points) – Southern, Texas State, Baylor, Houston
7. UAB (157 points) – Alabama A&M, Ball State, Coastal Carolina, Florida

1. Rice (345 points) – Stanford, Houston, Pitt, Army
2. UTEP (276 points) - Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico State, Army
3. Middle Tennessee (251 points) – Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Syracuse, Bowling Green

12. Western Kentucky (157) – Eastern Kentucky, Ball State, Illinois, Vanderbilt
13. UAB (157 points) – Alabama A&M, Ball State, Coastal Carolina, Florida
14. Charlotte (140) – NC A&T, Eastern Michigan, Kansas State, Georgia State

MTSU and WKU will win all of those games.

Ehh, don't think so. MTSU will most likely lose to Minnesota and Syracuse and very well could lose to Vanderbilt also; while WKU will likely lose to Vanderbilt and possibly also Illinois. Guess we will just have to hide and watch, but I will be surprised if together they win more than two of those five games, if any at all.

The Tops are favored in all those games even against Illinois except Vanderbilt and the margin is slim. Personally, I'm hoping the best for everybody because the conference needs it.

I am 100% with you on hoping the best for everybody, but there is a difference in hoping for the best and stating flat out that the Toppers and Raiders will win all those games. Your comment on Illinois and Vanderbilt actually pretty darn closely aligns with what I said. Anyways, here's to C-USA going undefeated in OOC play. 04-cheers

As usual, there are an awful lot of conflicting opinions in the preseason.

Affirmative. Specifically, a San Antonio private Catholic university established in 1881. They started their football program in 2009, only 2 years before we (UTSA) did. They've played two games against FBS competition so far, losing to UTEP 27-17 in 2015, and losing to Texas State 48-17 in 2016. They have Fresno State on tap this year.

2016
Colorado State
Arizona State
Texas A&M
Alabama St.

2015
Arizona
Kansas State
Oklahoma State
Colorado State

2014
Houston
Arizona
Oklahoma State
New Mexico

2013
Oklahoma State
Arizona
Houston
New Mexico

We'll have another tough one in 2018 though...
Arizona State
Baylor
Kansas State
Texas State

Next year you guys should be playing Oklahoma State instead of Baylor. Then you could win a "State" championship!

I appreciate that site actually posting win and loss predictions for every team, but I will tell you if the Hilltoppers have an 8-4 record this year, our fanbase (and team) will be very disappointed. The bar is set even higher than last year, and there is a buzz and a giant X factor with this new coach that has me really excited. Those guys can say our team is hurting but they also made the same predictions last year to be honest when Mike White filled in Doughty's shoes. We'll see how it goes!

If that happened, I couldn't be more happy if I were twins.

What in the world? This guy must be smoking something or crazy if he thinks North Texas only wins 4 games

That's what I have. I feel like they should be better than 4-8 but I don't know where the wins come from. I've got them beating Lamar, UAB, UTEP, and Rice. Who else? Maybe they can beat Southern Miss and/or Florida Atlantic to get to 6-6. Both are on the road though. Army? Perhaps, but I'm not confident. Anyone else would be an upset.
