Shocking, MD is picking NIU's demise, like he does...EVERY. SINGLE. SEASON.

Why do you even watch the games or follow the team? Honest question.

blocking him is the best remedy to avoid repetitive, rambling, semi-incoherent and just factually inaccurate drivel by that crazy canine. I did long ago and makes things on here so much more enjoyable, but, alas, when others quote him, that garbage is foisted upon me whether I like it or not.

Trust me I have plenty of times drank the Kool-Aid and sometimes led the Kool-Aid drinking brigade. However, in this scenario, there is a hell of a lot more bad than good. I guess my frustration lies in the fact nothing is going to ever change until a coaching change is made, and Carey and Frazier are bff's so that isn't happening

Saying they threw more is true, but almost inconsequential. In 2016 they threw 42% of the time. In 2012 it was 40% and 2013 it was 39%. Its first and foremost a run offense. My point was just that the concept of limiting the pass game having a big effect on the offense is nonsense. It will settle back to about 28 passes and 44 rushes a game. Which is about 39%. They won't go into a shell. Their offense is already shell-like by design. But not out of fear...it's just how you run that offense.

MD-let go of Ohio state. It's one game. Maybe he had to roll Hare out because Meyers told Carey that Joey Bosa is just stealing his lunch money and he can't handle him. Who knows.

This offense will be better than last years. QB continuity permitting. It has to be hard for all the offensive players to adjust to a different signal caller. Timing, Rhythm, velocity...let's just keep one guy on his feet and see what the O can do.

I know I might be negative at times but MD takes the cake. This guy is just awful. Would to meet him face to face and put him in his place but he's got nothing between his legs to want to meet up.

So Huskies27, you want to beat me up because Im negative on NIU football this season haha, brilliant.

You guys have chosen your path here, if I see 1 hypocritical complaint from any of you on NIU football this season, I am going to call that out so fast. I just know these same people who are getting all bent out of shape someone is not predicting a winning season are going to be the first ones whining about something that goes wrong this season. You have owned it now.

The Ohio State game is hard to let go of. Every single problem with Carey was encapsulated in those 4 quarters

I'm not even predicting a winning season and people on here think I'm negative as well. So no, I wouldn't beat you up for being negative. Instead, it's because you say some really ignorant things.

I've seriously considered deleting my account several times because of his idiotic comments. I've probably typed up several dozens posts that I never even ended up posting because the guy is delusional, ignorant and just insane.

+100000000000. Ignoring someone on this board is pointless...especially when they continue posting things so ridiculous that it consistently gets quoted by others.

Some of you need to get some more sugar in your diet or something. You’re too damn bitter.

If you don’t like the commenting or the commentators around here, then the absolute worst way to protest is by clicking and commenting on it. If you don't want to read another poster then put them on ignore.

And amazingly enough I now have to put in writing that no one should threaten to beat someone up. FFS. If you threaten to beat someone up you will be banned. Forever. IP ban as well, for good measure.

What about kickers this year? That used to be a real NIU strength.

A lot of talk about the QB position, and rightfully so, but NIU was a bottom 20 defense last season. What is the outlook there? Given the uncertainty at QB, I have a hard time seeing this season play out much differently than last year unless the defense shows a lot more than it did a year ago.

They were 80th in scoring defense. They gave up 5.79 yards per play which was probably in the same ballpark. They were 95th in turnovers forced with only 2 fumble recoveries all year. It sounds like our DL play should be improved through both talent and depth. The secondary is even deeper than it was before. They should be in the top half of college football by the end of the year.

There were sooo many injuries last year at corner, too. Smalls and Brooks missed pretty much the entire year, that was two of your top 3 corners last year. Lurry was in and out of the lineup all year. With guys healthy and adding in Embry who certainly looks the part and Parker who I really liked what I saw the last two days, the DBs alone should make it a much improved group.

What about Isom? He did well last year when he got thrown in there even though he was young - is he in the 2-deep you think?
