I can't remember the exact quote but Tarkanian once said the NCAA was so upset with the violations at Kentucky that they decided to put Cleveland State on probation. The big name schools have a separate set of rules.

I've seen a lot of players tweet that they've received offers from JMU, but I don't believe we've received a single verbal offer for 2018 yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.

We'll start a new thread with the first verbal.

02-13-banana Good news!

That is awesome news. I have seen Rakeem Davis play several times.....and he has always clearly been the fastest guy on the field.

Had offers from Wisconsin and defending national champ florida state out of HS?

Redshirted then did not play last year at Maryland.

Wonder what the story there is.

Sounds like he has talent to get those offers and clearly is big enough.

Could be a major find for us.

I'm a supporter of JMU moving up the FBS when the right conference offer comes but I think we are in a unique position right now as an east coast FCS powerhouse. Athletes who transfer from P5's and don't want to sit out a year to remain in the FBS will see JMU as a great fit. NDSU's distance from other schools makes it a much harder sell now that JMU has proven itself as a National Championship contender. We could really build a nice NFL prospect resume with the right transfers in years to come.

NDSU getting a bunch of good kids from MN isn't surprising. What did surprise about me about this list was the number going to Ivy League schools.
