Nice. McAdoo and Ellison (and Epps) all crack the top 30. McAdoo being one spot ahead of Michael Flowers, who's going to WMU, is pretty cool. Can't remember the last time we recruited this well in-state.

I understand from a recruiting website that Epps has been reclassified to 2018.
What does that mean for EMU? IDK.

I have not been following 2018 recruiting, but one who fascinates me is Rashad Williams of Wayne Memorial, teammate of Epps.

Just to throw up some potential names here for the 2018 class in addition to the verbalcommits stuff. One community college where EMU might be looking is Daytona State in Florida. Other potential names for offers are:
Angelo Allegri a 6'6 SF from Kansas City who is from the 2017 class.
Carl Bow Jr. SG 6'0 from Hazel Park MI 2018
Jake Ammerman 5'10 Ann Arbor Skyline 2018
Justin Steers 6'6 SF Philly PA
Izaiah Brockington 6'5 SF Woodstock Academy Philly PA
Ja'Kavien Lewis 5'10 PG Ainsworth Flint area MI
Derek Funderburk a redshirt 6'9 F was recently dismissed from the Ohio St program. As you may recall there was a recent head coaching change there. I am assuming he would be immediately eligible.

RE: 2016/17/18 Men's Basketball Recruiting
I'll check the 2018 MI h.s. senior class for possible names. As I suggested, Epps and Rashad Williams, both teammates at Wayne Memorial, might be on my list of possible recruits.
That said, Wooten was brought in to recruit, recruit, recruit. He is a person with deep, deep roots in the east. I heard the old expression, go west young man (is that the expression), but in this case recruiting should follow where Wooten eastward where he has his roots and contacts.
I went through his resume to get a good feel for his background:
1). Lot of experience at various levels in Troy, N.Y. as a head coach and assistant coach, etc. of a prep school program.
2). Couple years experience in Georgia.
3). One year experience in Massachusetts. Don't know if the prep school moved from Troy, N.Y. to Northfield, MA.
4). Some experience while completing his degree at Arkansas State.

It appears Matt Cline is busy on the recruiting front as well.

Bailey Steele has asked for his release, per tweet that he liked, "Baylee Steele 6'11" 250 asked for his release from Eastern Michigan. Sit 1 year and will have 2 to play. @VerbalCommits @DMACCBASKETBALL. "
Verbal commits confirms.

Ouch!
I have a question for our hoops experts? Was Baylee not a good fit for the EMU system or did he simply has some liabilities?

RE: 2016/17/18 Men's Basketball Recruiting
I thought Baylee had nice offensive talent. Very good touch on his jumper, and he had a decent post game (when our guards gave him the ball). He's a good pick and pop guy that we didn't take advantage of enough.
Defensively, he just wasn't good enough. A step slow throughout the season. But it was his first year of D1 ball, so I had high hopes for him in terms of improving on both sides. I'm surprised he is leaving, because he seemed like a shoe-in for major minutes. Although I do think Isaiah Green can sufficiently back up Thompson, despite his lack of height.

Yeah, a step slow on defense. I don't know much about Green.

Well I'm very surprised perhaps iits a personal situation like a sick relative. Off season workouts are happening right now. Do we go looking for a immediate eligible transfer if there any left or a juco big that got left out?
Here's a list pay attention to the immediately transfer names.

I went looking through the immediate eligible big men and it was like nothing. All gone.
I have NO idea what is up with recruiting. H.S. kid? JUCO?
